I think he wants it for inferno and doesn't want to do toa at this point. I think normally it's worth doing slayer for hasta and 2 zenytes before toa. Maybe new claws too. slayer benefits from book which is not a crazy long grind these days after mta buff. I don't know about maxed, could choose to turael skip barrage tasks that don't have unlocks, maybe skip book is best then and just get ward massively while going for fang and shadow

Why farm mage's book instead of farming TOA for Elidinis's ward?
mages book is usually better than (unfortified) elidinis ward after project rebalance, pretty worth doing early on
As windcats said, the book now has 2% magic damage to it. And TOA is just not a raid I want to be doing as a grind currently
