    I love your teaching style! I've been sewing for 50+ years, but have only tied my quilts 😊
    But I was just given a long arm machine, your video made it all make sense!!!!!
    Thanks!❤👍👍👍👍👍

    Thorough demonstration of one method of how to load a quilt. This was very helpful for me seeing you demonstrating step-by-step your process as well as the reasons for each step. Looking forward to additional videos.

    Love this video! I prefer pinning but am still new to this. Do you have any tips on getting a straight edge on the backing fabric?

    • @urbanelementzdesigns
      @urbanelementzdesigns  Před rokem

      Thank you for your question, Angela. We recommend the selvage edge whenever possible, which is always a straight edge.

    Where did you get your short quilt clips w/ the flowers? Love them. I've only seen the 24" long plain ones.

      I got mine from Quilters Apothecary, they are sold in units of three, see link below.

      The beautiful decals I added are from Urban elementz, and are sold in a variety of decorative patterns. see link below.

    Your 6/27/20 post is pre-basting a quilt sandwich before loading on the long arm. Are you basting on the long arm because this quilt is a king size?

    • @urbanelementzdesigns
      @urbanelementzdesigns  Před 3 lety +1

      The longer you do anything, the more ways you learn to do them. It is a little harder to baste all three layers off of the frame for a King size quilt. So, yes, that is why I did it differently in this video. But, also, I do like to show a variety of ways to do any one thing, because Not every technique works for every person, or every situation.

    Hello, what quilt pattern is that? Thank you.

    • @urbanelementzdesigns
      @urbanelementzdesigns  Před 2 lety +1

      This was a client quilt, but I believe you would find it under the name "winding ways". As it is an old pattern, you would find many variations.

    Where can I buy the leaders with the marks on them? I currently have plain leaders and having lines on them would be great to have vs my plain.

    • @urbanelementzdesigns
      @urbanelementzdesigns  Před rokem

      Hi Heather, we apologize for the delayed response. These leaders are canvas and came with the purchase of the longarm. You could buy them from Bernina, but you could also get a pigma pen and a ruler and mark your own.

    I loved the information in this video but the faint humming music in the background was so distracting.
