- Last time riding I hit a large rock and bent my tie rod. It is a simple fix to replace the tie rod with a new one. Some folks may want to upgrade them to a heavier rod but I like keeping it stock. This keeps my breaking point as the tie rod and not my ball joint or other more expensive parts.

Rebuilding a 08 brute! Dual empire s, Ehs racing tuner, air box, new suspension, a-arm upper lower bushings, almost ready for braaaaaappp , braaaaaapppp
To speed up toe in adjustment using a new factory rod,you can count the threads on the adjustment of the bent rod and copy it on the new part,it works👍
Great informative video. Keep up the good work!
Glad it was helpful. Thanks!
Awesome videos man keep it up, and next time may make your life a bit easier to just cut the old tie rod in half with a grinder and then twist both ends out and chuck the new one in there💪🏽
Hey there. Not a bad idea👍. Appreciate ya!
I’ve got some play in mine just noticed it today I think it’s in the tie rode end nothing seems bent but I flipped it 2 times last week makes me sick I rashes the finders up pretty good not sure if I’m replace hole thing or just the ends I hope it’s tie rode and not wheel bearing hood content I’m sure it will help me tear down day
Oh man, well glad you are okay. Did you get that on camera?
@@ChadOutdoors shoot no my luck sucks few days before or maybe same day my camera fell off mount on trail and I ran it over 2 x just got another last week
Any tricks on valve adjustment?
I wouldn't touch it
great video
Thanks!
I am new and I like that brut force put a big gun exhaust.
I like those. May have to! Thanks
@@ChadOutdoors yo thanks so much for responding to me and love that brut force keep up the good work
ITP blackwater ull love them😎😎😎
Can you make another super long video of you just riding the brute force I love the way that engine sounds and you can also see how the shocks perform very har terrain
Sure can! Thanks for the request.
Why didnt you get heavy duty upgraded ones?
It's better for those to break than something else. Just like when people put heavy duty axles and then blow out their diff or tranny.
@@stampede230 I can see this point but if you are ripping and keep breaking them why not upgrade
Cant wait for the Elka test. Shocks will be my next upgrade. Also, my shirt came in a few days ago. Will be rocking it this weekend.
Awesome! Thanks for your support!! Editing another Elka video right now.
How did you bend it.
come on go to harbor frieght get a good floor jack there cheap ya should of upgraded to the new allballs hd tie rod kit especially running bigger tires
Haha once I get more room in my garage I will. I don't mind the tie rod being the weakest point. They are cheap and easy to replace. If I beef up the tire rod what is next in line to break?
@@ChadOutdoors even the hd one would still bend or greak but not as quick im doing mine that and the asr f5ront a arm kit since the brute eats those bearings in the front a arms so fast its funny the rear ones hardly ever go out but the front ones wear quik how ya like the elkas are they worth 1500 bucks ive been thinking but thats alot of money if it doesnt ride like a caddy
@@mikestowe6136 I like the Elkas. It's nice to be able to change the ground clearance easily. It rides better for sure. For 1500 it's tough but one of my fav mods done.
@@ChadOutdoors do you run the shocks even like thread wise i seen ya cranked the back up id want it to ride level n when ya crank it up does it ride rougher or the same
LOL love the lug nut porn! Holy cow that IS a bent tie rod! How come I never thought about threading the tie rods at the same time like that! Awesome video, my friend! Cheers from the middle of nowhere Alaska!
Lol I appreciate you watching. Hilarious comment. Cheers!
Chocolate Grease......lol
😀
how good is the brute force 750 would you recommend?
It's been a great machine. Tons of fun and this broken rod is the only problem in 2.5 years. Check out my videos I have been putting it through lots of test.
Would you recommend over the Yamaha grizzly?
@@riyadabdelkarim3061 both are great machines. It depends on your riding style. For example if riding 2 up then the BF has a much longer seat. If you do not want to mess with upgrades then the grizzly comes well equipped out if the box. Grizzly comes with better light and tires for sure. But the Brute Force is alot of fun to ride being a Vtwin. What will you be using it for?
Update on my zillas chad. Apparently a huge amount of maxxis tires have just fallen off the face of the earth. So if I can’t have them in the next few days I’m gonna go BlackWater evolution or mayhems. Really wanted the zilla since it’s supposed to be a great all around tire
Edit Typed while watching. You should see my rims. They are already beat up. It’s kinda depressing to look at
Ah man the new rims are beat up? Thanks for the update. Curious what you will end up doing and how ya like em
@@ChadOutdoors supposed to have a solid answer from my dealer tomorrow. Someone showed me a Facebook post saying something about certain maxxis tires may not be available
Til June/July. I won’t wait that long for zillas. But I’m willing to have a little more patience.
Cool. BTW the Bighorn 3.0 showed up at my door. They look pretty sweet man. I'll test em for ya. Maybe one to add to your lineup of choices.
@@ChadOutdoors I’m open to anything that suits my needs.
Could of took the ends out of the bike would only take a second that deep into it instead of twirling it Ahahahah
