I won two national championships and fourteen All-American designations in college and can confidently say that the achievements, though sweet in the moment, are not the real win. You nailed it on the head when you figured out it’s about the journey and the people, the support and community, the hard work and digging deep and figuring out how to push through (AND when to call it), the sacrifice and all the lessons learned along the way. Medals get put in boxes, collect dust, or even get misplaced, but the story sticks. Congrats on those 66 miles - that’s insanely cool and crazy in the best kind of way!
