Gal Gadot is not an idiot and wants to have a lasting career, that's why she's not been saying something stupid.
Gal also got a pretty real taste of what fan negativity could be like when she was originally cast as Wonder Woman, so I doubt that she wanted to experience any of that again in this situation. She was fortunate that her performance, and the first movie overall, proved fans wrong (and fans weren't so extreme then and they accepted that she was actually a good fit for the role).

I agree, Gal Gadot has a far more MATURE attitude toward Acting, and Hollywood as a whole. She seems to understand that actors and actresses are ACTING out a role and should not push any of their personal views or politics into the artform UNLESS they are REQUIRED to by the director and / or producers. Instead, the actor / actress should focus ALL of their acting skill and talent itnto portraying the character to the best that they can infront of the camera, but off camera they should be as humble and honest as possible when answering criticism and praise about their performance. There should be NO PLACE for politics in what is after all a FICTIONAL ROLE that might even be a complete 180 of the actor's / actress' personal views. Any PRIDEFUL feelings should be confined to the pride one feels after doing a job as best as can be done. After that thev "Persona" should be cast off as completely and easily as one casts off an attire - of - the - moment. Actors like Ms. Zegler will get away with bad behavior only as long as people are willing to stomach it, after which, they will criticize her; even hate her, whether she is in fact a good actor or not.
Actors like Ms. Gadot on the other hand have learned the important lesson of leaving her work out of her personal life. thus she is capable of dealing with both Praise and criticism with minimum fuss, and maximum cordiality.
It looks like she is pushing her chair literally away.
Gal is just far smarter the Zegler.

My issue with making a movie for "modern audiences" is that the audience a movie is designed for now will not be the audience watching it in five or ten years. Modern expectations may be leaning more toward a feminist perspective however, we can already see that attitude is starting to shift. Movies are only successful in the long term when they are relatable.

I also feel that the title is misleading, but the content is informational and relevant nonetheless. Gal Gadot is one of my favorite actresses and at the end of the day she is also one of the few action specialists who could actually do in real life what they portray in action movies. I’m happy to see that this video paints her in a very positive light as I was concerned that the spoiled, and entitled brat playing the lead role was doing just the opposite. Just based on the comments made by RZ on numerous occasions about the classic movie of SW, I have no desire to ever watch any movies she’s a part of…like EVER!

I agree with antonnym214 that Disney can release the 1937 original in early 2024 and still have the option of deciding in 2025 what to do with the Zegler version. Few people recall that the 1937 Snow White is in the top 10 highest grossing movies of all time, but most lists of the high-grossing movies don't adjust for inflation. The high ticket prices for movies will show how Star Wars, etc. can gross so much when movie admission is expensive. In 1937, a movie cost only 25 cents to see. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs when adjusted for inflation, has made $997 million at the domestic box office. Re-releases by Disney of Fantasia and other classics have done a lot better in bringing in money and would be pure profit compared to the 2023 movies that lost money. The American Film Institute ranked the 1937 Snow White among the all-time best animated movies. For Rachel to diss it is weird, weird.
Disney and most Fortune 500 companies do not go woke to make money off of consumers. They do it to make money from the billionaires that get to decide who gets the most market share via investments, financial prowess, and global reach.

U r giving Gadot way too much credit for just doing PR better. Gadot was right next to Ziegler during outrageous comments. MCU actors were clearly uncomfortable with Bree Larson interviews. Gadot was fine with Zegler crapping on the original film. UNFAIR letting Gadot off the hook.
Gadot gave Zegler the prompt “She’s not going to be saved by the prince”, which started Zegler on the carefully rehearsed speech ending at “..fearless, fair brave and true”. I think she _then_ put her foot in it by ad-libbing, going off script, denigrating the “cartoon”, calling the prince a “stalker”, “weird, weird”, etc. Gadot was _not_ in a situation where aguing would have been appropriate. Remaining silent and smiling diplomatically was all she _could_ do in that situation.

Rachel Zegler sounds so exhausting to listen to when she talks. She has that arrogant cadence to sound smart, but is really just comes across overly opinionated. And criticizing the original movie that led to give her that role is so stupid. She should've been recasted.
I mean, if it's about the 'she's not saved by the prince' part: they did that before. With Sleeping Beauty in Maleficent. But there, it had a point. It was meant to enrich the story of Maleficent and to create more of a background for her character, rather than to spit on a classic. While the reviews were mixed, I've not heard anyone complain about that.

This movie has potential to add diversity by casting 12 people like Peter Dinklage. They were set up to have a slam dunk on diversity given over half the cast can be people who are not often represented in movies. Instead they change the story to be “empowering”. To whom is it empowering? smh.

I’ve been impressed with how Gal Gadot has been interviewed about the film - showing gratitude, expressing excitement, and being candid (in a positive way) about her own experiences. Really classy and admirable. In an interview or two, she’s even expressed feeling fortunate to work with Rachel. When a film is receiving such pushback on its content and delivery, it could be easy to slip into negativity, but so far I haven’t seen Gal do that. Her way of being is a positive example from which we can all learn and benefit from - I’ll definitely keep her classy, tactful way of speaking in mind when navigating tricky situations day to day.
