Why is it so hard to find videos of sailors in actual sailboats doing this? is it the conditions, like lack of wind, strong currents, or?? or are sailors just too busy sailing to be filming?
I agree on ya CP I'm a puget sailor. Look up Tanzer 22 there is one off of Vancouver Island that will blow your mind. In actuality when the wind really hits like you say other things are more important, but a few manage to make genuine 'foul weather' videos! I like the fact this fellow made this 2 day trip in classy fashion and put the sail up to enter port which is key.

2 1/2 hour to get to Blake Island on the west side of Elliot Bay by motor. We sailed around Elliot Bay from there.
