      @@smithers4420 The Advisor is a corrupted wizard of The Empire that sought knowledge of the chaos realm and became an agent of Tzeentch when the book cursed him. His soul is forever bound to chaos....little does he seem aware. The entire plot of Warhammer 3 is the story of how the Advisor was played like a puppet, told that he would be able to break his curse by pitting the various factions against one another to seek a drop of Ursun's blood when IN REALITY, the entire purpose was to cause mass chaos on the Warhammer world and put events in motion that eventually would lead to The End Times and the destruction of the entire Warhammer world. At least in the Total War games. The Advisor is completely made up as a driving force in the games and not an official canon person in Warhammer lore. In the real lore, there were many factors that led to the downfall of the world.

The 'special powers' he's got are a recent development and even so his mind control only let's him control the 'weak minded' or his henchmen due to the masks he makes them wear. I think he can also shapeshift but it doesn't allow him to use the powers of those he's impersonating. So at the end of the day, he's a psycho criminal batman with some degree of mind control.

Didn`t find a single technology that adds any. So I ragequit during a Nurgle Realm expedition. Heard some ppl say Nurgle is the weakest daemon faction. Dead wrong. That would be Slaanesh. At least Nurgle has replenishment AND instant recruiting, and their late units have the staying power to outlast other armies. Only weakness is ranged damage, but you have magic to whittle those away. Slaanesh sucks (pun intended).

      It is somewhat better explained in WH40K, but basically Forge is an independent neutral grounds, either selling its creations to the highest bidder, or just to gather souls in a self-perpetuating cycle of destruction, fuelling the Forge and creating more engines (a distorted metaphore for Industrial Revolution in XIX UK). All demons bound to Grinders swore an oath to the Forge and, in case any god would try to break the truce and invade the Forge, they are to forget their allegiances and defend it (yes, even, say, a Bloodletter's essence bound to a Grinder would have to turn against Khorne etc.).
      40K mentiones some ambigous "masters of the forge", meaning there are separate actors driving its agenda. In Fantasy Forge was kinda... masterless...? So perhaps it is lore-friendly, that with god's soul to boot Be'lakor could become its master, thus wrecking the existing balance of power

However, seeing the rushed and lackluster quality of this installment so far, I`m concerned a bit. I mean, they didnt even do fully rendered cinematics. Had stability and performance issues I didnt have with the second game. The idea of Kislev having Be`lakor working for them after he tormented Ursun is idiotic...etc...

      Prequel of a prequel. Basically the plot of WH "3" and "2" is to showcase how the defenses of the world got weakened, so the daemons could cross it (and all the major defenders like Kislev, Cathay, High Elves and Lizardmen all got exposed in the process), then in WH "1" Archaon takes advantage of the situation, unify Chaos, invades and destroy the world. All a plan of Tzeentch, as the God of Change he is bound to destroy existence and create a new one (yep, he is the strongest of the 4 Gods, basically a copy paste of Cthulhu... what is not derivative in Warhammer Fantasy, lol)

    • @RRRRRRRRR33
      @RRRRRRRRR33 Před rokem

      @@sheogorath7915 It's not really idiotic if you think about what is canon or not. The Kislev ending is the canon finale of Warhammer "3" (I think the only difference is that Ursun really died, so Kislev is weakened)... and as a final mockery, Tzeentch allowed them to enslave Be'Lakor, but Kislev is anti-chaos to the extreme, so Katerin simply banished Be'Lakor forever (this character is the punching bag of Warhammer Fantasy, alongside Azazel who is another pathetic antagonist)

      Be'Lakor is basically the punching bag of Warhammer Fantasy, he is pathetic by design (similar to Azazel in a way). Has the cool background of being "The First" at something, but that's it. I think the canon so to speak is that Kislev was able to rescue Ursun (almost, their God died in the process) and Katarin simply banished Be'Lakor forever, he will not play a role in the End Times (which is Warhammer "1")

    For such a big game the cinematics are really bad.I was expecting so much more stunning visuals.And the ending cinematics are more the same for all factions except a few cutscenes.Compare that to the stunning cinematics from Warcraft 3 for every race ending(all different).... You would think that games should have better cinematics almost 20 years later but no, Warcraft 3 cinematics are still the golden standard in gaming.It's a shame CA did not put more work in making really beautiful cinematics.

      I think there's a world of difference (literally) between the Chaos gods compared to a minor god like Ursun (or Sigmar, the Lady, Horned Rat, etc.. you name it). They are like the uber Gods of this setting, Khaine is obviously Khorne in disguise, then you have Nurgle influence on the Skaven, etc.. they are a step above. Some Warhammer fans try to argue there's more depth to it, but really, we're talking about a stupid derivative game that have a vampire named "Vlad" leading "Sylvania", lol there's no depth, it is what it is. And above them all is Tzeentch, he manipulates everything, destroying whole universes and creating new ones (he is basically the equivalent of Cthulhu in this setting)

    Honestly, the lamest of the 4 Gods. At first I assumed that would be Nurgle, Warhammer already has the Skaven, God of Death is a played out trope (just like the God of War)... Slaanesh kinda resembles the bible devil, he tempts others, 6 is his number, etc... but that is pretty much the only interesting factor (and also how the keeper of secrets looks like flamboyant carnaval dancers, it's kinda hilarious). But in the end, now halfway Ku'Gath's campaign and finished the other three, definitely Nurgle is more interesting and charismatic. Maybe I expected too much from Slaanesh because the Dark Elves are my favorite faction in this game (I love cheesy stuff)... but they don't have even half of the charisma. If I have to rank the "likability" of the Warhammer Gods, basically Tzeentch, Khorne, Nurgle and Slaanesh

      @@Karhall Animal 'gods' are outdated concepts. The God of Isaac and Abraham is the reason western civilization exists. All science was preserved after the fall of Rome by Christian monks, and the first universities in Europe (Oxford and Paris) were founded by them. English common law, the precursor to the Bill of Rights, was based upon Judeo-Christian traditions. The pilgrims who came to North America did so as a compulsion to seek after their destiny in worshiping the Christian God in the way they saw fit. Slavery was ended by Christians via the Quakers, who single-handedly built the abolition movement through the Christian belief that all men are equal before the eyes of God.
      I could go on, but I think you get the point. I know animal totems were worshiped by ancient people. But all I see are false idols that never did anything for their followers, and wonderful things just happen to the people who worship this one particular God. Funny how that works.
