Then added some photoetch and scratch built bits anyway" :D

Watching this video made me realise every mistake I made with my 1/700 Tamiya Yamato. Put simply, I made alot of handling mistakes and just don't have his handling skills at the moment. Loctite glue would be far better than CA glue, as once that glue sets, it doesn't give you a chance to re-align if you make even a slight mistake. I'm going to re order my Tamiya kit and try again. I learned alot in this 43 minutes of video. More than worth it.

I commend you Sir !,,, You not only take the model and make it your own, but you bring the basics of Honor to the Yamato and its memory.. I am pleased you took your patience and your time and your life, and made a more realistic model of the famous Ship, instead of the standard everyone does.. I have two of them, the 700 and the 800 and plan to build them by my 70th year,, so I have 5 years to finish !! I also appreciate that when you were DONE, you were Not done yet,, you still found improvements and touch ups that met your eyes,,, I do the same as a perfectionist will strive to do,, this is Honorable and brings peace to you once you have fully completed the task !,, I have 3 Bismarks, one for a top diorama, one for a build and one for a "sunk" build,, and plan for them to be completed as well,, with a somewhat same taste as you have performed,.. I offer my respect and admiration for your work, and for your time and attention.. I have saved your video to help me, when I do my models one day,, A good day to you Sir,, May it bring peace and sunshine.... PS

Now I am waiting for the glues I ordered to come and start making the beast of the sea, after 12 years of inactivity (since 2009) in the construction of models. Two of the last models I made were the USS Missouri model and a Jaguar E-Type. Your video with the construction of your own model of Yamato, is excellent and helped me get back into the spirit of certain things that I should pay attention to during construction. Keep up the great work.

Unbelievable detail !! The ship is beautifully built and painted, even the display stand is a work of art. The rigging completes the build perfectly; amazing how elastic the thin material is.👍👌😁

Amazing! I'm even impressed with the people constructing those tiny photo-etches in the first place...

It's in the name - they're photo-etched. There's a picture they downscale (I gues with lenses) and a process etches it into the metal.

PLASMO is evolving even further and further. This amount of craftsmanship is unreal. I was watching this totally afraid I'd sneeze and ruin something.

I've been waiting for a Yamato build ever since I subbed to your channel 3 years ago. This was so worth the wait. You've really outdone yourself with this model. Perfection. Utter perfection.

You must take tranqs to remain so calm. This kind of kit even watching you assemble this kit and detail up parts makes me tighten up. I’m a 1:32 modeler and even then if it’s sunny out I go to the beach. My hats off to you.

Knew a gentleman who was building a larger scale Yamato, he said he'd probably have 1/4 of the kit parts in it when he was done. His skill level was off the charts like yours. I wonder how it turned out he's won IPMS Nationals before, lost touch and haven't seen it in any publications.
