Hands down one of the most underrated bands of it's era. When we hear the phrase early "2000 pop punk bands",you normally think of simple plan,sum 41,New Found Glory and Good charlotte,i say sugarcult is definitely up there with those bands. When you have people like 5 Seconds Of Summer being huge fans of them,you really know how much of an influence these guys have on many of today's bands.
I was fortunate to have moved to Santa Barbara at the start of '99 when Sugarcult was just getting started. Got to see them at the Solstice Festival (also Spencer the Gardener) and multiple times in various State Street clubs that probably don't exist anymore.
I envy that my friend. They were something special.
They should've never stopped making music. It is a blessing and i dont get why someone would give it up.

Fucking insane this band only had 3 albums
they really had 5 but only 3 major
I remember getting their demo of four songs at Warped Tour of the early Start Static songs. Saw them play at Marine World and rocked so hard. Sad that this is so heavily edited. Auto tune and probably re-recorded after the show, so many parts the video doesn’t match with the audio 😢

The conviction in the chorus on the album is much more powerful here alive and of course they’re good live, but come on
