I'm experiencing this kind of issue once in a while, and every once in a while I have to reset my system :) plugging my nose during exercises and execution is really helping me to locate impact spots and is also viable to manage the proper load of air. You will probably experience a slight fall in tune but that's normal, considering that the larynx wants her space to move and you are basically blocking their movement by plugging the nose; but in the end it will result in a clean execution and reduced stress over the vocal chords :)

I was struggling with my vioce and I often practice hours even after ending zoom classes on vioce training and I am better but when I started practicing I wanted to be so good that I practiced alot, I was straining my voice and most often the next day is either no one can hear when I speak because my voice becomes so low, I became frustrated and never thought I could continue practicing to be better. My mom introduced me to this voice highlighting tea that's very helpful and I started using it, I didn't experience voice breaking or any of such no more. Check me description to get your if you experienced any of sort.

Find the sweetspot between the nasal and too breathy.
Focus on the feeling you have while singing nasal and singing breathy.
Notice that there is a difference in where the sound resonates.
Switch between the two, slowly and controlled and stop at the "sweetspot", which ideally is where you dont feel to breathy or nasal.
Dont get discouraged, singing with a voice that feels (and sounds) comforterable, effortless and amazing is such a great thing to experience.
You can do it, I believe in you!
