- I was feeling super sad this week and really didn't know why. When I'm sad I actually love to have a good cry? And reading sad books always helps with that. I took to TikTok and searched for the SADDEST books I could find. I was looking to sob. I was looking to be emotionally devestated. And it worked!

“Book buddies” is sweet! Also, I’m the same way. I cry and am very emotional the week of my period. I started tracking it so I can foresee it. It sucks and is confusing to feel like you’re sad without having a reason to be.
P.s. it’s a healthy coping mechanism to make space for yourself to cry when you’re feeling sad. Crying is a necessary way to move through emotions. Thanks for being vulnerable with us, Sam. I appreciate your content.

Sam, if you want another sad book, I recommend A Lesson Before Dying by Ernest J. Gaines. It's a bit heavy in topic as it's set in the 1940s American South, but it's so worth it. I had to read it for class one year and pretty much the entire class cried reading it - it's heartbreakingly good.
