- Welcome to Istanbul!
We have been testing the BRT-system in Istabul! A great bus system whre buses are departing several times each minute. This is important to help move people in ths huge city with more than 20 million inhabitants.

Thank you for visiting Istanbul, I hope you had a nice time. Citaros in the İETT fleet are 2005 models. Although most of them have extremely noisy gearboxes and appear to be worn out, they are still intact and continually working. The M4 metro is also famous for its noise and damp smell. I wish you had taken the old CapaCitys on the metrobus line.
Thank you for visiting our country. I hope you come again. I would like to travel intercity with you next time you come. My bus is at your disposal :)
The greatest enemy of a BRT system is demand. This looks severely inefficient compared to 75-100 meter long trams.
I hope you had a good time in Turkey. Hope to see you next time. 😊
