I started Carnivore diet about 2 wks & 1/2 ago! I don't feel I've gotten much of a significant change other than perhaps the pain in my abdominal area has decreased! I'm thinking that my BP is improving! However pooping has been a problem! I was more regular beforehand now its like taking 2-3 days! I am not hungry & can go w/o eating 4 @ least 12 to 15 hrs w/o eating! But I haven't seen any weight loss! I need 2 include more salt, cuz I was use 2 eating no salt ! think I just need 2 give this diet more time!

Christina, I’m so thrilled to hear about your experience with Carnivore! It actually brought tears to my eyes hearing you talk! I was carb addicted all my life until 14 months ago and Carnivore set me free from hunger and cravings and healed me of high blood pressure, Type2D, and I lost over 70lbs. I’m 69 yrs old and feel so much better than I have felt in my 50s and all of my 60s! I hope and pray your testimony about your experience with Carnivore will help many, many more carbaholics! 30 months ago today, after 40 years of always being the fattest girl around, I went keto thanks to this truly awesome lady - LOVE you, Christina!!! KetoChristina saved me from me. Though I was keto, I never did keto replacements or sweeteners and it still blows my mind that, yes, I have not cheated ONCE since. EVER. I overcame my food addiction and my binge/purge cycles which I had been on since my teen years. Also, in spite of having had arthritis for 2 decades, it went into remission - no aches and pains and no meds. BUT then, 6 months ago, I quite naturally slipped into carnivore and just WOW! Christina, what you said about food cravings and the serious question game? Same here! I still haven't felt the need for the gym - because I absolutely loathe exercise with all my heart, always have! - but I sure am in a much better mood all the time, I don't grudgingly go out for a walk and I find myself running around the house playing tag or hide and seek with my cats, and laughing my head off to the point of tears of joy - I know, crazy cat lady much?! Carnivore has set me free in many different unexpected ways. It's the beyond keto stage. It's the ultimate way of eating for life. A healing elimination diet cleansed of anything from the plant world - yes, since ALL carbs and sugars, in one form or another, come from plants! Oh, and did you notice I didn't mention my weight? That's because I stopped weighing myself. On carnivore, I lost so much body volume and visceral fat that I really do not care about the numbers on the scale anymore. Thank you, Christina, for continually leading us forward with your example. ZC on!

I've been carnivore for over a year now. Keto 6 months before that. From November 2017 to August 2018, due to spondylilothesis (fractured vertebrae that caused misalignment of spine), I was housebound, in excruciating pain, on morphine plus other pain meds, and needing a wheelchair to go to doctor's appointments, etc. Now, 1 1/2 years later, I have healed enough to walk around our neighbourhood, go shopping and do housework/yard work, have lost 90lbs and am bubbling with energy. Since becoming carnivore, my mobility has steadily improved and pain has substantially decreased (no pains meds for well over a year). I am convinced my spine is healing due to the high protein way of eating (bone is 40+% protein). Gary Fettke and a few other doctors in the Keto/Carnivore world have mentioned improved Dexa scans on with this lifestyle. Whatever it is, my life quality has improved immensely. I was waiting to die, now I can look forward to the future.

Many (most??) people that start 30 day carnivore will move on to 60 or 90 day carnivore, then decide to continue for another 90 days. I finished this second 90 days two weeks ago. Now it's my lifestyle and I cannot imagine ever going back to carbs or keto. It's quite simple: once you realize how much better you feel, you don't want to risk feeling like you did before the carnivore diet ever again. And to those who claim that this diet will shorten our life expectancy : 1. Where is your proof? 2. I'd rather live 85 healthy years than 100 unhealthy pain and disease ridden years. 3. Carnivore might be my best shot at living 100 healthy years.

I usually don’t comment but I feel I must say this. I am reading in the comments where some people may feel as if Christina doing carnivore is a betrayal to keto but guys it is not. I have experience almost the same journey as she has. I have lost almost 100lbs with keto and it has saved my life. 8 months ago I was strict keto and I had stalled on keto and experiencing severe craving and had bloating. I watch a video on CZcams about try carnivore, I think it was one of Christina’s video. And that same day I decided to just drop the veggies and just eat my meat and within 3 week I had lost 20 lbs of water that my body holding on to. All bloating left too. I had the exact energy and all craving left. Initially I was having all kinds of meat but as time went by I only crave beef. I skin was was bright. My hair was growing and healthy. My gum stopped bleeding. I look way younger. There was so much benefits. No pain. My body felt like I just want to run 🏃‍♀️ and don’t stop. Guys as she says it’s hard to explain the feeling but please don’t bash her until u try it. It’s not for everyone tho because I have a girlfriend who is struggling with craving and constant weight gain regardless of her efforts with calorie counting and she tried it for a week and gave up. She missed her veggies and fruit too much. So I understand it’s not for everyone but know exactly what Christina is experiencing and u just don’t want to give up that feeling. Even if I cheat I have to go right back cause my body cannot tolerate anything else.

I’m a dental hygienist, so the reason why we build up so heavy behind our lower anterior is because we have salivary glands right there. I think the reason why it’s less apparent in people on carnivore because of the pH levels changing in our mouths. Also, most bacteria in our mouth live off of sugars and carbs. I’m assuming because if the high lipids and proteins it makes it hard for plaque you accumulate on your gingiva and teeth, also your mouth is becoming more neutral. Just know that if you’re someone who has periodontal disease, please understand the bone loss from the bacteria WIL NOT grow back. All you can do is prevent it from ever getting worse. You can do that by continuing this health diet and continue proper dental home care. 🦷

Sorry @Sporty Business but YOU CANNOT grow it back. Do not lead people astray, the only way to replace it would to be via bone graft, or injecting stem cells. People need to understand once some damage is done, it cannot be undone. If you have radiographs of patients before and after who grew back their own bones with periodontal disease I’d love to see it, because that form of science does not exist in my field. You can reverse demineralization in your teeth, you can stop incipient cavities, you can maintain your periodontal health, but you cannot grow back bone. Just like you cannot regrow nerve cells once the are destroyed.

First and foremost congratulations on your amazing journey. I’ve been following for about a month now but started keto back in November 2019 I’ve noticed how much I feel better. I was slowly killing myself with an enormous amount of carbs and sugar and fat. It was hard for me to get up in the morning. Was sick to my stomach all the time. Had no energy! 30 min after eating I would crash hard to the point where I’d fall asleep “narcolepsy” very dangerous state to be in. When I got my yearly blood results back they called and told me I needed to be seen immediately.... triglycerides were 1000 major inflammation. My doctor said no carbohydrates what so ever! You need to walk Every day for the rest of your life. I really did do some damage to my body but I was determined to get some weight off and change my diet. Did not want to be on meds my whole life. First week no carbs lost 8lbs felt better within 2 days I’m 3 months in and I feel 90% better my teeth are better to! I’ve only lost about 22 lbs (still overweight) but I’ve lost more in inches and I’m down 2 sizes. Christina and viewers, I went on Carnivore on March 2nd, 2021. I’ve been working from home for the past year and putting on more and more lbs. I have been on Carnivore for 30 days. I’ve lost 12.2 lbs, my energy level has been good, I actually feel better, I wake up before my alarm some mornings, my eczema is cleaning up. I’ve long suspected that I’ve food allergies, because I have asthma, eczema and really bad environmental allergies. Prior to going on the diet, I felt bloated all the time with GERD, heartburn. Just felt generally unhealthy. I had to do something different. , some will say this is a drastic diet. But for me, feeling impossibly overweight and unhealthy called for drastic changes. I HAD to do this. Today I had shrimp and lobster for lunch, I don’t feel deprived, I eat when I’m hungry and I now listen to my body. What happens on this diet is you get to the point where you aren’t binge eating, and cravings go away, in the beginning I was eating 3 meals a day, now I’m down to two. For me what works is eating in a 4-5 hr window. I typically eat between 7am-11am or 11am 4pm. I have found that eating later contributed to my heartburn and inability to sleep. By eating at that time I’m also inadvertently combining intermittent fasting. However if I’m hungry later I DO EAT. But found my weight loss was most successful when I kept to this 4-5 hr eating schedule. I eat breakfast and lunch in that window and skip dinner. I also have been documenting what I eat daily, this is important to help me recognize what I ate and at what time that may cause me to go up in weight or down in weight. For example the other night I ate ham and cheese about 7 pm. Next day I gained weight. Currently I’m not working out either, just changing the way I’m eating. I’ve not cheated or felt the desire to do so, because I was ready for change. If you are at the same point, give carnivore a try for 30 days. Then reassess how you feel. I’m now moving into month 2, feeling very optimistic. By the way a dear friend suggested I try this diet, she has lost more than 90 lbs. on carnivore. So, I know it works, it’s not a diet it’s a new way of life for me.

I have just stumbled on your wonderful channel, and OMG, you are saying some things that have been so true for me, all my adult life!
I have tried keto in the past and had great success but was never able to break away from my carb addiction (toasted bread was my demon!) Notice I can now say "was"!
I started carnivore in July 2019, and have been doing that in a sort of keto way...I still eat salad greens. But I haven't had the amazing weight lost, energy, or healing that other's have had...obviously it's time to go plant free!! Thank you for posting about your journey!! So inspiring! I'm a new subscriber for sure!!

So thrilled to hear this amazing result! I go between keto and carnivore (for a year now), and I feel so amazing! After my first two months of keto, the more carnivore I went, the better I felt. The better my digestion got, the more energy I had. So, now I find I feel best keeping the veg really low (except fermented veg) and stick with a high meat diet (2 meals a day), mostly eggs, bacon, lamb, and steak. And after I hit that year mark it was like someone had given me an amazing gift of a new body-new bones, new muscle tone (I'm SO freaking strong), and I noticed the plaque thing on my teeth too! I feel just stunningly good (and half my age!). Everyone keeps asking me when I'll go back to eating "normal" again. Everyone's worried about me eating so much bacon and steak (so ridiculous while they're eating cake and cookies). But, good lord, why would I ever eat any other way?!

    • @roslin8060
      @roslin8060 Před 4 lety

It may sound strange, but I would love to have to deal with the diarrhea everyone keeps talking about.
I'm one of the unlucky ones who struggle with constipation rather than diarrhea on the diet. I tried eating more fat to help digestion, more often than not that ended up with diarrhea and undigested fat in the stool.
I also take magnesium citrate. More so to get some extra magnesium, but also for the slight laxative effect it can have when you go over the recommended dose. That has also seen mixed results, more on the "small to no difference" side of things.
My latest experiment has been with some extra fiber. I do eat a select few veggies that I know agree with me and been trying to eat slightly more of them. Not much difference either so far.
So yeah, generally I've seen a lot of improvements but still trying to figure this one out.

I’ve been eating carnivore for just one week. I transitioned from a mostly clean organic, but higher carb diet to a keto diet in January. Then after some research I decided to try carnivore beginning February 1. What I’ve noticed is that I’m sleeping much more, even falling asleep in the middle of the day, which never happens, unless I’m sick. So...what I think is happening is that my body is in major healing mode. I’ve committed to at least a month, and possibly longer. I’m looking forward to the energy :-) but it’s not there yet. On a side note, my carb cravings are indeed gone.

I would state that everyone’s carnivore experience is different. I’m three weeks in on a meat only carnivore diet. I have not experienced any diarrhea in the three weeks since starting carnivore. I’ve dropped nearly 21 lbs from 302 to 281. I am a 53 yr old, 6’2” solidly built guy, but have room to tighten things up. I am diabetic as well. My glucose readings have seriously dropped from @ 150-160 to being consistently down in the 100 teens or below. My doctor reduced my insulin intake of Novolog and I’m reducing my Lantus to one shot a day at 10 units less. My Janumet has been cut from 1000mg twice a day to just one! I was on a low carb intake before carnivore, now with zero carbs and eating only meat, I’m overwhelmed with the results. More energy, more mentally alert, sleeping better, with no cravings at all...NONE. I eat when I’m hungry and never any other time. I consume about 1.5 - 2 lbs of beef, pork, eggs with salt, butter, sour cream, hard cheeses on the side per sit down meal. When I do eat, it always tastes like the best meal ever! LOL. It is truly amazing. I’m able to do all this on a 24+ hour fast. My goal is to work up to a 48 fast. But I just don’t have any desire to eat anything else. My long term goal is to get down to 210 lbs and to either be totally a non-diabetic or simply managing it without meds. Carnivore is no joke. If you are committed, the life style takes hold and it’s the easiest diet to be on.

This WHOLE process of keto is a NEVER ENDING learning process. It is AMAZING the changes that go on. Being blunt the fat shifts and going away which is a HUGE unusual experience in itself. Simply bc that process didn't happen before, it was ALWAYS gaining. Nails improved; having strength and arch shape, instead of flat. Yes teeth cleaning is minimal (may put hygienist out of a job!) That being said I'm realizing what foods I actually don't feel good on. For example fresh tomatoes makes my hand hurt. Leafy greens gives me the rumbles. Which I've eaten huge salads all my life, didn't have that experience bf this. Salads are pretty much out. Early on I would try a process food, I'd have cow paddy stool (sorry for being so blunt) the next day. So I don't miss that at all. Lol. Becoming carnivore comes naturally because your slowly eliminating the foods that make you ill. THANK YOU for sharing your results.

I'm just as gobsmacked as you are. It's the best thing! Never get bored of beef either haha. My hair and skin looks and feels better. I watch friends too love it! Lol

@keto_christina can you eat any meat on the carnivore diet? Or beef only? I hope this isn’t a dumb question. I literally just heard of this diet today. Thanks in advance

Still in the adjustment period myself. Have had struggles with my electrolytes for years, so that's my current biggest struggle. But I'm getting there!

I'm keto. The weight did pop off easily, but as a vegetarian keto l am envious of you, my husband and my children. I've been a "psychological" vegetarian for 25 years, meaning it's not for "trend" or trying to "save the planet bs" , it's because I can't bring myself to eat meat, ever. My family however are l stress very much meat eaters and l encourage it.
This vid however still interests me a lot, thanks for the upload.
Keto as a vegetarian gave me the same toilet issues 🤣, that passes 👍. Two stone off since January 1st.
Keep up the great work 👍👍

For your own heath, do eat meat. Humans were not meant to be primary plant eaters

@@shaungordon9737 yeah I'll get right on that. Clearly you have NOT read my post. I'll just chomp down on a huge bloodied steak after 25 years of finding the idea totally disgusting...eh... No. Yer grand.
Btw I'm perfectly healthy and very clear on what l need nutritionally.

The way you describe your energy levels is EXACTLY how I felt/do feel on carnivore! I can definitely see that you have more energy in this video! I don't know if this helps for anyone wanting to do carnivore... because you mentioned the tiny bites of meat? I do slow roast and my meat is nice and soft and easy to chew. I'm a lazy eater, lol, and I hate having to work to break my food down. :) I'm also kind of emotional eater too. I absolutely LOVED the mental benefits you mentioned. THIS has been my main focal point for looking into these diets. It has remedied many people's depression. Keto was good? But Carnivore was what really did it for me. I have heard from many that keto was kind of a wonky experience for them, but when they did carnivore it was amazing as it changed everything for them.

I couldn't continue on carnivore. I didn't know it at the time but keto, carnivore and fasting were wrecking my thyroid and my metabolism. I uploaded a new video about it. You can watch it here - czcams.com/video/nyPt8wqv2eI/video.html

@@KetoChristina Yes! I think I just commented on that video too.. On one of your videos I candidly admitted that I weened off carnivore and now I eat salads and healthy carbs with my meals again too... Actually... I kind of felt like I had TOO much energy.... It was nice? And I certainly felt my best when I was on it? But it was almost too much... like I couldn't sit and relax. Hypo-mania can be linked to thyroid problems so you being cognizant of your thyroid issues is actually a really good thing. I think these diets reset our system and digestive tract, but long term I have no idea how that would be for a race of people that are very adapted to consuming carbs daily. Thank you again for all of your knowledge!

I think the tartar in three back of the teeth is probably oxalate build up which we shed. It’s amazing the changes. Almost 3 weeks in myself

The note on improved teeth: I've heard that vitamin K2 (which should be readily available in steak) is instrumental in letting the body move and transport calcium and preventing calcium build up.
I heard that from Dr. Berg but I could be misremembering.

How are you able to tell if all this extra energy/overall sensations that you’re experiencing are coming from the carnivore diet or the increased amount of weight training/exercise that you’re doing? The reason I’m asking is .. I’m experiencing the exact same things now that I’ve increased my weights HIIT /cardio training after being on healthy keto/intermittent fasting lifestyle for the last 9 months. ?? Curious as to whether it may be that you’ve finally reached the point where your body is now responding to the exercise regime and not necessarily the carnivore diet? It’s funny as I also get those tingling sensations/heightened mental clarity when my ketone levels are around 1.8 or higher or when I do an extended 48hr. fast. Just curious ☺️

Cheat days are probably worse on carnivore and will hit you harder. I wouldn't.
