You also forgot that Disney started a lawsuit against Florida that will likely be very expensive and will go nowhere. Regardless on feelings about the politics surrounding the situation, that wasn't a very smart move on their part.
How did I miss this
I’m super excited about LegendsCon! Will you be in attendance? On the KOTOR Remake, it always concerned me… as a remake could end up contradicting original stories in the EU… I would prefer a KOTOR Remaster with updated graphics and game mechanics, but the exact same story.
I’m not going this year, but if they do another one, I might.
I'm relieved we're not getting the KOTOR remake, because either it would have been for the Disney universe or it would have had mass retcons if it was for Legends. I doubt they even would have used the banner if it was for the older EU continuity. Lucasfilm is cowardly and have a hard time owning what they create.
I wish I could go to Legends con. It looks amazing, but alas... I just can't afford it. I hope this succeeds, though, so maybe I can go next year.
Filoni is being as shameless as usual. It's bad enough that he's rewriting Luke's story to center around Ahsoka in the upcoming series, now he's flat-out trying to pave over Legends so that HE and what HE does is what's associated with these titles when they come up. I wish people would stop dick-riding Filoni so hard, he's no great hero for Star Wars and he sure as _shit_ isn't a nice man.
It's fun seeing Disney step in it this much, lol. Even if they won't learn from their mistakes, sadly.
