Back when Sinatra recorded the original, the technology was so limited that recording each line separately would be harder than just doing multiple takes of the whole song and choosing the best. At some point producers started using a technique where they spliced together several takes sometimes word for word, but that came after DAWs became a thing. Even then, a crooner like Frank wouldn’t do multi take. Hell, that might even be first take.
