  • What‘s up everybody? Welcome back to my channel!
    Actually, I wanted to restore the air filter housing. Then I thought to myself why not the the crankcase breather hose and finally the idle control valve. There we are now! The part number of the valve is 0 280 140 510 (Bosch). I can also highly recommend LIQUI MOLY 5111 to clean the valve (link below).
    About the process:
    - First remove the air filter housing
    - Unplug all hoses
    - Pull out the IAC
    - Flush the inside with throttle valve cleaner by keeping it upside down
    - A few drops of oil to lubricate the valve
    - Let it dry for 24 hours
    In the next episode I'll put the part back in. But I'm still waiting for the hoses that I have already ordered.
    Anough talk, enjoy watching!

      I’m also struggling with rough idle and I hope this will solve my issue. Hopefully the spare parts will arrive soon so I can replace the hoses. Will share the progress as soon as I can.
      Take care and much love to Denmark!

      @@KUNIQUE yeah these elderly ladies get some respiratory difficulties with age, lol!
      Without a doubt this procedure will help mitigate the rough idle.
      I’m curious where to look up the specific part numbers and from where do you get the parts? I need a complete set of hoses and connections too!
      Also what year is your awesome Benz and how many kilometres on the odometer? - can you beat 393700 km on my ‘89? 😉

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  Před 3 lety +2

      Haha indeed! I've already exchanged a few things and the hoses are the last thing I haven't looked at. I hope it gets better after that. I did a long research and looked at various EPC's until I was smart enough to look at the hoses where they were on them. Even Mercedes could not provide any information based on the VIN. I ordered the parts directly from Mercedes but as far as I know, Meyle is supposed to be very good too. I'll mention the part numbers in the next video. Maybe that will give you a point of reference. Wow, I think I can't beat that - mine is built in ‘88 and has 189.000 km on the odometer.

      @@KUNIQUE awesome brother! Thanks for the advise! I’m looking forward to your next video! Yours has a nice low ‘mileage’ and there are many hundreds of thousands kilometres left! Mine was decently cheap with the high ‘mileage’ - I tell myself that mine is only halfway there, if you know what I mean 😉

    Thanks for the well detailed video, I have two questions.
    1. Can I clean the IAC without removing it?
    2. Can I use a carburettor cleaner?
    3. For the lubricant, can I use silicone oil?

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  Před rokem

      Hi zilizopendwa,
      1. I don’t think that this is possible. At least it would be very hard because of limited space and spraying in the cleaner.
      2. Should work as well.
      3. Not sure. I used regular oil to lubricate it.

      Thanks Pauric. I guess it was the crankcase breather hose and the spark plugs. Just watch my latest video. There are also some steps I did to fix the rough idle. The rough idle is fixed but now I got some cold start problems.

      ??? Cannot be turned how?
      If you put 12V on it and it clicks open easily and closes after disconnecting than it's good. Don't try opening manually with screw driver.

    Moin moin also ich hab versucht mit dem schraubenzieher innen beim leerlaufregelventil die wand da zu bewegen aber da bewegt sie sich nicht. Muss sie frei bewegbar sein?

    • @KUNIQUE
      @KUNIQUE  Před 2 lety +1

      Moin! Nicht ganz frei bewegbar. Die "Wand" ist mit einer Feder gespannt. Man sollte sie eigentlich mit dem Schraubenzieher drehen können. Da sollte ein Widerstand zu spüren sein. Um das ganze wieder in Ordnung zu bringen musste ich bei mir den Reiniger reinsprühen und hinterher etwas ölen. Beim drehen sollte dann ein Klicken zu hören sein. Ich hoffe ich konnte dir weiterhelfen.

      Thanks Benedikt! I guess the reason why you don’t here it clicking is that the valve is stuck. Maybe you can fix it by using the cleaner to remove the carbon. After the carbon is removed you can use some oil to lubricate it.
