I'd actually rank G Crook Over Golden Soldier because using the golden crook boss for speedrunning you can get FAST times.

Reason why you put Ace at the middle spot is because of the map. Ace does extremely great on maps like Deserted Village or Crossroads and can solo until Wave 19-20 on solo. Plus, Ace is vital for Hardcore’s Early Game (bombs are exceptionally great for hefties). Being very cheap with great DPS (you can max it at around wave 10-12, it excels in all stages of the game (INCLUDING EARLY).

It also does good on u turn. I did a solo fallen with ace and accel.

You could have gave warden an honorable mention, he is good for early game and works as sub dps for late game and ignores stuns
If the warden was placed here, he would mostly likely be at 7. True he may be strong in late and mid game but in early game his more like *meh* he can do the job fine just that the problem is that it's a single hit tower which would then cause leaks while also booting up to its really kinda expensive upgrades. Theres just better options i would say

If warden gets a mention what about our boy the sledger? While for very early it’s a little slow, later on it works well, not only hitting 4 towers with 80 damage (if I remember correctly) but also freezing and having those frozen enemies take double damage. Really great for taking out heftier mobs like bosses. If used correctly ofc.
Sledger is so bad
The funny thing is i use glad for early game and upgrade them to max when fallens arrive, by the end of the match they end up dealing more damage then my accels. (I place them right at the start, works very well if there is a curve near the enterence)
I upgrade to max at wave 28 so they can deal with glitches or errors I forgot their name but basically whenever the glitches run past my access will still be locked onto the giant bosses on wave 28 so I need to get my glass to max to deal with them

... the dps is on the tds wiki and you can do mathy stuff to find out the dps and cost ratio

Fun fact: if u wanna be greedy with money, u can place ONE golden scout at wave 0, and ONE level 0 farm at wave 0, so at wave 1, the farm gives u an extra $50 so u can get another level 0 g scout

@@XadeTheYaksha the reason warden isn’t better than gladiator is because gladiator can hit multiple enemies at once while warden can only hit one target
@@Meme_lord47 I agree with your point of gladiators advantage of multi hit but if u place 4 or 6 wardens and get them to level 4, then enemies will be stunned constantly, giving time for the dps units to finish them off

I think you could add g pyro in honorable mantion because it cost more than 600 but it does very well in early game
He said "towers that can be placed on the first wave" otherwise there are too many options

The reason it cannot solo any waves is because you placed it on the worst spot. 1:56 You need to place it on the inner curve or else it’s not going to be very optimum.
Dawg it's the best spot in my opinion cuz piercing+ curve is for more range

Even though gold scout might seem like it’s just an early game tower, if you get 6 max golden scout with commander and dj it can do really well until around wave 25 or 26.
Yeah but that is almost as expensive as lvl 5 accel which can last until 32 if the map has beta modifier which is much later for barely a increase to price
@@monkey6114 no because even without dj discount max golden scout will only cost 6325 in total so 6 max golden scout will be around 38k while a max accel would cost around 53k so the extra money can be use to invest in farm and if you farm correctly in fallen then you will get 2 max accel by wave 30(with dj discount.)

@@monkey6114 well a level 4 accel would not do as well as 6 golden scout because 6 golden scouts will do 216 dps while the lvl 4 accel will do 120 dps and also accel has a cooldown and charge up time too.

with glad you need to spend 600 cash to defend until wave 7 while with g scout you can spend 400 cash and then spend 200 more on wave 4 (it doesn’t seem like a big difference but you can boost your farming by wave 4 by 200 cash which is really good)
for wave 7 they have similar price but for wave 10 g scout is MUCH cheaper as you need to get a lvl 4 glad for wave 10 which is 5050 IN TOTAL just for wave 10 while g scout can handle wave 10 with just its lvl 3 upgrade which is 2325 cash. Extremely big difference
for mid game you could argue gladiator is better due to its max level being extremely cost efficient and can hold off for a very long time and it’s crowd control for late game however your farming will be much more efficient with gold scout
Yeah but in dual or trio lane maps and in pw2 glad does much better in eg too
You forgot about Warden, it can leak 1 enemy at Molten and prob 2-3 at Fallen. But it's not a big deal taking a bit of HP is fine. Also Reg. Cowboy. It gives cash only $550 to place. I did not include Gold Cowboy since it's more expensive and harder to use. As long as you are very pro at it.
They don't count as u have to beat a map to get it . Also warden is supposed to be a support not early.

G cowboy and cowboy is just bad, you could use it for early but there definitely a cheaper and much better choice of tower than them.
Also, warden leak a lot in both molten and fallen. Warden is mid-late game tower because it doesn't provide much value in early game.

IMO ace should be like #3 or something higher because lets be honest its by far the best early game hardcore tower and most reliable
The only downside I feel like is that hidden detection is kinda expensive but in any solo regular game you can afford it with ease by wave 13
The reason I think it's ranked lower is because you need to place it in a curve and gsoldier is cheaper
Also gsoldier can solo molten while ace can't, it needs to be a long map for ace to win

@@JohnPorkIsCallin those are great towers for hardcore but with the exception of pyro (and gold pyro) ace pilot is used a lot more than those due to being very reliable.
What about warden and cowboy (regular cowboy) cowboy can generate money if used well and warden gets stun immunity at max and is pretty op also cowboy can get a ton of money if spammed. Also military base can defend early game well.
I think mil base is supposed to be mid-late game due to the costs

g pyro is pretty expensive, but i like to use it because it has great crowd control, even through late game!
I literally need this Solo Fallen Early Game Towers.
Use soldier in duos on fallen,trust me a single soldier can get to wave 16 by it self here is what you gotta do
Place soldier in a good spot (upgrade to level if you need more range)
either farm or save up for level 2 (if level 2 wasnt achieved before the quicks you may leak 1 or 2)
Farm more
Get lvl 3 at wave 10 for the boss and then save up for max lvl soldier for wave 11-16 (you can farm for max lvl if your confident) by wave 16 your teammate should have atleast all farms to level 3 if he farmed well and place towers for breakers and then ur chilling
Note:tell your teammate to trust you and defend and tell them to get something against wave 16
Note 2:this might not work on every map but i know it works on both u-turn (if correctly placed) and crossroads,you dont have to do it if you have any gold and cheap towers,neither you have to trust
Yeah works with 6 lvl 2 golden scouts... tbh that sounds much cheaper lol
Struggle on beating quickdraw, lost soul or even hardcore ace pilot can help

Now with the Scout buff it can almost beat Molten by itself. Just spam them everywhere and slowly upgrade them to max.
for me, golden crook boss, accelerator, farm, dj , commander is rlly the best speedrunning (without gladiator)
I think the cowboy should have been on the list as an honorable mention. It costs 550, it can solo wave one from level 0, and at level 2, it solos until wave 10 (getting the normal boss very low)
My personally very like using gold pyro, Gold crook boss, Gold Scout and gladiator as my early defense
bro i played a lot in 2020-2021. lots of stuff changed when i revisited it
What you forgot to mention is that gladiator is stun basically stum immune after you get the ability

Honestly, the only way to have good early is if it is placed properly. If you got noobith over here placing scouts at the end of the map instead of corners you might be dead
Golden Soldier is better to use if you combine Accelerator with it because it has ok dps and it is a great early-game tower.
I need an early game tower, but also need farm for money. I dont know if i should get cowboy or try to solo gamemodes without an early game tower.
