People suck at reading animals. Cats aren't evil, the cat here just doesn't want to be bothered and the dog is playful and being cautious but has high energy and can't help himself. Both animals clearly love each other, the cat blinked at the dog, this means love and trust. Ginger kitty wanted to nap, and was giving the dog warning signs that it was about to squat at it if the shenanigans don't stop. But both animals are polar opposites, thats all. It's like getting an introvert to live with extrovert, they have differing perspectives is all, but both are so adorable and lovable.
Great dog and very hilarious. I've had two cockers (one died, another still going strong), and they both don't know what to make of cats. This was hilarious.
The cat doesn't look like he's enjoying this "playing" at all. Cats don't scratch, pin their ears back, and hiss when they are playing. If the cat gets a claw in the dogs eye you are going to have a much bigger problem. Cats have a lot of bacteria under their claws and the dog could lose an eye.
I have a blue roan English Cocker spaniel just like this one and he loves to play with other animals....I think he would even play with a skunk if he saw one in the backyard.
If the cat really wished to get rid of the dog, he/she could easily make it, so i believe this has been their cute habitat. The dogs eyes #1:47 made my day!
You need to keep the dog away. Poor cat is bothered too much! At least buy a higher lounging condo for the cat to hide from this annoying dog. Geezzzz...

Don't underestimate a Spaniel, it can outrun a human with ease and has a good sized mandible.
