I thought i had created two tricks , someone just send me this video and proved me wrong haha (1:20 and 1:27). Anyways that is an honor to see those performed by this legend! Inspirstion for years!
Strangely, his clips from Mike Vs greatest hits wasn't in the vid, back in the early 90s when he was getting insane air, doing Madonna tailslides and shit. They just haven't seen Mike V during his prime.
Mike Vallaly is the reason I started skating, I started learning no comply and boneless and use to get a lot of shit for skating like this to the point I quit skating. Just got a new board today and kicked around for the first time in 10 years, landed a kick flip and shuv it. Can’t wait to get back into the sport.
Mike V is a legend because he's a powerful skater with street edginess, he knows how to treat his fans, he does the tricks that he likes to do as opposed to what the magazines and kids want, and has a genuine love for skateboarding. It also doesn't hurt his status that he takes care of himself and has been blessed with health.
Favorite skater all time. He helped me realize that this concrete is something to explore. Mike treats the world like his playground. He’s violent, he’s aggressive. He attacks what he sees. Favorite, all time ❤
"I love all the sheep who hate on Mike V. for staying true to his own style." I've been waiting for someone to say that for so long! His originality is the one of the best things I have ever witnessed.
It’s funny (strange), but no one pushes and rolls the same as this guy. He’s one of the smoothest most relaxed skaters but at the same time so aggressive. He was born to do this!
Dude that picnic table trick @ 1:29 was massively impressive. To be able to have the board pop that high and stay straight long enough to time the jump on the other end. Holy crap that shit is hard.
I used to be able to do that. No that hard really. Just have to put your palm out and grip the nose so the board doesn't slam against the inside of your crotch as you air walk
He was doing hand rails and stairs in the late 80's and early 90's when there only about 5 people on the planet who were doing them. And he clearly slides a hand rail at 1:13 in this video. Modern skateboarding wouldn't be anywhere near what it is today if it wasn't for Mike Vallely and a couple of his peers. Learn your skate history kid.
I like Mike V’s style of skating it might not be as technical but it’s what he’s done his whole career!!!! I remember seeing Mike V in a video when I was a kid before street skating was huge and I thought those street hand plants where the coolest thing ever!!!! Skate or Die is what I think of when I see Vallely skate!!!!
I really dig his skateing style. I saw his 1988 old school video on a cruiser board. It was totally sick all he could do with a cruiser board and proved you can do a lot of sick stuff without making the board flip.
Proper Hardcore ! He's come such a long way since "so... you wanna go skating huh?" :) Respect to Mike V. Modern skating needs more Boneless/Beanplant action.
I like the old skaters because they have their own style unlike today skaters that everbody mostly do street and with the same trick. So respect the old school.
you can tell this man really enjoys skating, hes not out there trying to backside lip a huge handrail, or frontside flickin a 16, but better yet just ripping down the street non stop destroying anything in his path, mike v is a tornado on 52mm wheels. plus his hand plants are gnarly, you no how many face plants iv dont trying to do those!!
80's Vallely was absolutely sick in his time. I remember his trashcan ollie when That's Incredible/Incredible Sunday had the Mullen demo and they showed preview clips of Public Domain. I was already familiar with Natas' Wheels of Fire part and all of Gonz's stuff (godforbid them to have given the most influential skater of all time a MF-ing section- how much Gator and Groholski vert/pool footy can a canadian take lol, even if it _is_ shot on 16 mm?). But the second I saw MV ollie over that concrete can, I spent the entire winter trying to ollie over the arm of the couch we had in the basement of my folks house.
Looking for some help....Does anybody remember the action sports video with MV skating at the Brooklyn banks, there was a handplant segment with run dmc playing. Been looking for a long time for it with no luck
I am usually more into the more technical street skating like what Shane O'Neill and Paul Rodriguez do, but I LOVE Mike V.'s style too, his shit is SICK!
Damn the amount of stuff he does, I've always envisioned him and Rodney Mullen being opposites of the same coin, Mullen is the on board flatlander while Mike is the off the board flatlander
Mike helped me with a method to do my manuals better back when I wasn't in a wheelchair and my health was great
Why do people hate originality? Mike doesn't need to conform. That is what makes him a badass.
Between this guy and Mullen, I'm sorry, but "Normal" is boring, let people express themselves.
Growing up I preferred Mullen over Hawk so I naturally gravitated to Vallely
It’s not his originality they hate. It’s the fact he screwed over Ed T.
he is probably the most creative skater ever. love mike
Robby Baker Rodney Mullen is pretty sick too
Hey guys, don't forget Chris Haslam, Daewon Song and Ritchie Jackson.
Tool
@@jessee7334 lol
he has such a unique style to him that what makes him so creative its honestly awesome to watch
anyone that grew up with Powell vids knows this style is the heart of skating
He is the worst skater in history he fucking sucks
Mike Vallaly is the reason I started skating, I started learning no comply and boneless and use to get a lot of shit for skating like this to the point I quit skating. Just got a new board today and kicked around for the first time in 10 years, landed a kick flip and shuv it. Can’t wait to get back into the sport.
🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
His style show u to never give up your style because of others
One of my favorite skateboarders back in the days when I used to go skateboarding on watch his videos and it would make me rip
Mike V is a legend because he's a powerful skater with street edginess, he knows how to treat his fans, he does the tricks that he likes to do as opposed to what the magazines and kids want, and has a genuine love for skateboarding. my favorite skater
One of my fav skaters i love how he just had that angry attacking style
Walk IT To Em Wentz 11 I met him and got a pic
Favorite skater all time. He helped me realize that this concrete is something to explore. Mike treats the world like his playground. He’s violent, he’s aggressive. He attacks what he sees. Favorite, all time ❤
---------he is the guardian of old school style--------------
I know I’m realllyyy late but this brings me back to old classic skate tapes, with a fish eye lens and hard rock playing in the background
i've seen all these clips a billion times and they never ever get old. sick video.
"I love all the sheep who hate on Mike V. for staying true to his own style."
I've been waiting for someone to say that for so long! His originality is the one of the best things I have ever witnessed.
An absolute legend. Way way way underrated in terms of influence on street skating.
im 39 and it was a honor to skate with mike v!!! he is a beast in his on way and till this day their isnt a skater like him nor will B
his 540 boneless at SPOT was the very essence of aggressive street style skateboarding. Mike V....your the man.
It’s funny (strange), but no one pushes and rolls the same as this guy. He’s one of the smoothest most relaxed skaters but at the same time so aggressive. He was born to do this!
Mike V is the man. Screw all the haters.
Dude that picnic table trick @ 1:29 was massively impressive. To be able to have the board pop that high and stay straight long enough to time the jump on the other end. Holy crap that shit is hard.
hands down my fav skater, and I love his style!
How come I've only seen Mike V with either long as fuck hair, or bald? nothing in between... like wu
Cuz when he decides to have long hair, it just instantly grows that long.
2:45
Rudy Sanders hahaha prolly true hes that boss
2:40
Did he seriously pull off a flat ground air walk at 1:55?
Yes, he seriously did.
I used to be able to do that. No that hard really. Just have to put your palm out and grip the nose so the board doesn't slam against the inside of your crotch as you air walk
Start with an ollie judo
Fun and easy... super hard to learn... be prepared to have a bloody thumb.
@@tylerkloster4448 it's not that hard. just practice your nose grabs and work from there.
dude cole is the best of both worlds, old school and new school. . . he's like in my top 5 fav skaters
Mike V. and Rodney Mullen. I enjoy watching other people’s skate videos, but theirs I can watch over and over time and time again.
Mike V really sums up what a true street is to me
Mike v is so stylish, truly enjoying watching him skate, makes me wanna learn this style
You gotta love Mike V's style.
It is ass ugly
This is one skater I'd like to see join the SL comps. His creativity and ability to go HUGE would make him a contender for sure.
seeing videos like this makes me wanna go skate
Love his foot-plant old school style 🔥
Pure guts and creativity, his imput is massive.
11 year old skate edit XD all its missing is "let the bodies hit the floor"
2008 nostalgia
Haha. I’ve got the sound turned down, and that exactly what I’m listening to!
Haha we all did montages back in the days using good ol' drowning pool !
best street style ever...og down n dirty. you dont see the tricks in this video anymore..
Learn your skate history kid.
one of the most old school bad ass skaters ever, mad respect
He gave a talk in my town, it was awesome. Mike is a awsome dude
I love his old school style
Love Mike, LOVE RATM, this video was amazing for me :P
What i love about skating is that theres diffrent styles and all of them are sick
Love his style 🤙 That’s What makes skateboarding so dope. Each rider has their own interpretation of how they like to ride.
best skater ever
Mike V the best mix of ol Skool and new school and a tank of a man!!!
I was stoked every time Mike V kicked off a wall. Dude definitely had his own style different.
I really dig his skateing style. I saw his 1988 old school video on a cruiser board. It was totally sick all he could do with a cruiser board and proved you can do a lot of sick stuff without making the board flip.
great video man
i have been a fan of vallely for a very long time now
thanks for making this video
I like it how i go from a video seeing this guy push 2 cops while theyre grabbing chad muska, to seeing classic skate video of him. Classic.
Fantastic runs... memories all round
Proper Hardcore ! He's come such a long way since "so... you wanna go skating huh?" :)
Respect to Mike V. Modern skating needs more Boneless/Beanplant action.
I like the old skaters because they have their own style unlike today skaters that everbody mostly do street and with the same trick. So respect the old school.
I love this guy! He has such a unique style!
Just saw him singing for BLACK FLAG!! HAHA! Who would have thought?
awesome song choice!!!!
Such a beast, but beauty when he skates. mike V all day.
His style is so sickk
Mike V rocks. He is dope.
Good skating good music...doesnt get any better than this (:

The only skater inspiring hardcore tricks across the world
Mike V = Boss Of Skateboarding Full Stop.
Looking for some help....Does anybody remember the action sports video with MV skating at the Brooklyn banks, there was a handplant segment with run dmc playing. Been looking for a long time for it with no luck
Its on CZcams. I just saw it. Was like 6th result when I searched Mike Vallely
Man mike valley is the most creative skater I've seen.
2:35 left him hanging xD
I am usually more into the more technical street skating like what Shane O'Neill and Paul Rodriguez do, but I LOVE Mike V.'s style too, his shit is SICK!
and somehow he still skates more savagely than you ever will.
Música encaixou perfeito

He was in tony hawks games… lol
Rage against the machine, and badass skating, say no more
Mike is a power skater....it may not be technical like today but it's fast, high and phat ,Old school yes but it still works today.
The only dude who can make a plant pot cool
One of the best to ever do it! Old School Wins! Skinny Jeans Lose!
Damn the amount of stuff he does, I've always envisioned him and Rodney Mullen being opposites of the same coin, Mullen is the on board flatlander while Mike is the off the board flatlander
