- NDTV Poll Of Polls: The Bharatiya Janata Party is expected to win a third consecutive term - but fall well short of its 'abki baar, 400 paar' target - in the 2024 Lok Sabha election, according to NDTV's poll of opinion polls.
The BJP-led National Democratic Alliance is expected to win 365 of the 543 contested seats, and the Congress-led INDIA could get 122, with the remaining 56 going to parties not allied with either side.
The predicted final result may not be a surprise, given the NDA - its charge led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third consecutive time - is already seen by many as the clear winner, but the numbers suggest a narrowing of the gap between the ruling party and the opposition since 2019

@sivchennai Not very sure how much political knowledge do you have about both Telugu states but you can recall mine as well as your, both comments on 04-Jun to see who is correct. Out of total 13 districts (Erstwhile), YSRCP has clear edge in 7 districts ( 4 Rayalaseema districts Kadapa, Karnool, Anantapur,:Chittoor and 3 other districts Nellore, VIjayanagaram, Srikakulam) and in the remaining 6 districts (Vizag, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur and Prakasham) it's neck to neck however first 3 slight edge for TDP and later 3 slight edge for YCP. So overall YSRCP is going to win both MLA and MP elections with comfortable majority. Again caste wise, religion wise, class wise, economical status wise, gender wise.... most of them are with YCP except few well settled section of people like IT employees, already settled other employees, urban youth, above middle class and rich etc, because in general they are against freebies and welfare schemes, that's why. Other side, poor, especially women voters, old people, rural people etc.. majority are with YSRCP for various reasons. You can mark my words that YCP will win.

400 means brutal majority when the whole nation supports a party
Bharat has a FPTP system. In 1984 Congress got 414 seats, still didn't cross 50% of total polled votes (it was 46.86%). BJP alone is now at 37.36%, and their electioneering skills have already shown that votes to seat conversion - through booth level management is far well done by them compared to their NDA allies or the parties in the INDI alliance. I really will not be surprised if BJP or NDA manages 400 seats with significantly lower total percent votes polled. NDA is already at 45% of the votes, if BJP alone crosses 40% then expect radically different results, including the "400 paar" they are targeting.
