Amazing how many must now be up there as we saw a few last year/year before(?) in the UK. Each night they seem to get more distance between them. Amazing to watch. Isn’t it Elon Musk project to cover the earth with internet access for everyone?
The string of lights in the sky were more than likely a Starlink satellite launch, unless you have a memory gap after you saw them... then yes little green (or gray) men. That looks more like a ranch with all the cowboy camping ;) Acton is very near where I grew up, hope you moved through quickly! lol
I'm singing on the trail Just singing on the trail What a glorious feelin' I'm happy again I'm walking down the trail With a happy refrain I’m singin’ just singin’ on the trail. (my adaptation of Gene Kelly's Singing in the Rain for you) Glad you survived Baden-Powell and made it to Acton. My stompin' ground for 10 years (Antelope Valley) when my kids were little. I'm sure you are about ready to head over the aqueduct. Get yourself some silly glow headbands and make a night party out of it! Definitely see the difference in filming with your new GoPro - excellent! Keep sharing your happy trails with us!
Ash, congratulations on the comradery you are creating with your trail family and your vlog journal!! It's rare to see this much excitement and enthusiasm and positive mutual support. I believe it is, in part, a product of your sparkling personality. Well done. Also, I really enjoyed your Q&A presentation answering questions from the previous video comments. It's a positive connection between you all and your viewers. I hope you will do this on a regular basis as your hike continues.
Just wanted to say I love your videos! My partner is also on the trail, about a day behind you usually, and your videos have really helped me feel like I'm following right along :)
Apocalypse road was the exact description my daughter gave that section a few weeks back 😆 Glad to see you have a tramily. I was drawn to your PCT journey as you are a lone young person travelling across the globe to embark on a crazy long trek....and you started it with the stress of losing your pack (just like my daughter, though thankfully she didn't get covid and she too got her pack back)
Watching you walk through the car tunnel reminded me of another youtuber 'Hiking with the Codgers'. Watch day #35 of their PCT hike, you will not believe how high the snow actually was when they went through this April. Thanks for sharing your journey, looks like you are having a blast!
Absolutely loving following your adventures and with your great Tramily. You make me smile with each episode and wish I could be decades younger and have all your up-to-date equipment. Cheers to the trail ahead!
Congratulations on summiting Baden Powell mountain WOW! I watched Huck and the conditions were too bad for him to attempt, especially the descent but then he was bouldering on the closed road over rock falls! He’s at Tehachapi. Amazing the change in conditions. You’re doing amazing and it’s such a joy to watch your journey with your trail buddies too❤
You will likely be surprised with how much of this hike will not be remembered. This will not be one of those experiences. Days where you discover that you are more capable of doing challenging things than you thought you were will likely be remembered for the rest of your life. Good job and good luck!
Y'all are averaging not quite 11 miles a day. That is not going to get you to Canada in time. These videos are a perfect example of why trail families are a net negative to finishing a through hike. Way to much screwing around, moving at the pace of the slowest members and fun in town. No where near enough hiking forward with a purpose.
If your only objective is to complete the trail in a certain time then yes you're correct more miles is obviously better. But if you want to have a fun and shared experience with new friends while also hiking the trail and reducing injury potential 🤷 at the end of the day this was Ashs hike not yours. She can do whatever she likes 🤙
Being perfectly honest, I could listen to your voice just about all day. Your excitement is infectious
It's called a Starlink satellite train. They did a launch on May 31st from CA so that's most likely what you are seeing.
Exactly right.
Good to know.

Even when the going is tough, you manage to find the positive. Your commentary is always fun to listen to.
I'm singing on the trail
Just singing on the trail
What a glorious feelin'
I'm happy again
I'm walking down the trail
With a happy refrain

You guys are our favorite PCT hikers. You have so much fun and are really have a blast on trail. Happy hiking!
Absolutely awesome. Videos get better and better. Love the entire trail family. Sending good vibes. Hike on...
I’m sentimental about this section. I was a trail Angel between Wrightwood and Agua Dulce.
Best video I’ve seen climbing that mountain in the snow! Wow! 🎉

Great videos, I think what you saw in the sky was the Starlink satellite trail.
Absolutely!
Great video. You guys are such a good team.

Those were likely Elon's Starlink satellites. They form trains of satellites like this.

Great work, team!

excellent
Hi Ash, were you allowed to bring your Garmin Inreach on the aircraft from UK? Or did you buy it in the US.
Trail Magic appetizer before mass quantities of pizza :)
Should not blow up sleep pads by mouth. Condensation will build up inside, cause mold, mildew, and degrade 'R' values for the pad.
Ice pick master!
Starlink
Road walks more than half a mile Suck.

And your comment is a perfect example of why ‘HYOH’ exists
