Red Dead Redemption 2 is a Western-themed action-adventure video game developed and published by Rockstar Games. The game is a prequel to the 2010 game Red Dead Redemption, and the third entry in the Red Dead series. Set in 1899, it follows the story of outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang. After a botched ferry heist, Dutch van der Linde and his gang, which includes Arthur Morgan and a young John Marston, are forced to flee their hideout in Blackwater and attempt to cross the mountains west to evade law enforcement. In order to fund their escape, Dutch has the gang rob a train belonging to the wealthy oil magnate Leviticus Cornwall. A furious and vengeful Cornwall then hires the Pinkerton Detective Agency, who send Agents Milton and Ross to apprehend the gang. As a result, the gang is forced to be constantly on the move to stay one step ahead them. All the while, Morgan and the rest of the gang continually have to perform numerous jobs and heists to keep the gang funded as Dutch continually promises one last, big heist that will secure their freedom.

If you don’t want the holes just get on your horse and remove and readd the hat

yeah i figured that out when i was ambushed by 3 o'driscolls near twin stack pass in my first couple hours of playing. Used deadeye and shot him near the stomach but i accidently hit the lamp. Would've died if i hadn't because i was outnumbered and had shitty weapons/didn't know how the game worked.

RDR2 is almost every other developer's nightmare because this is the bar now for a lot of gamers. It's hard to accept less
It's the same thing that happened when Witcher 3 came out. It ruined open world rpgs for tons of people. Especially in the hunting and side quest department. Now the bar's been raised again, this time for realism.
@Blorox Cleach yea cause people dont look into games and if they did they would find out that they dont need to cook just buy cooked meat from a butcher and they dont need to clean their guns just get a gunsmith to clean them and thats some of the "issues" people were having with this game but if they tried to figure things out or do research they would have known rockstar put ways around alot of things that people would think is annoying so really it just boils down to people being lazy and excepting the game to hold their hand and tell them everything about the game.

I remember having this moment in GTA where a SWAT member tripped over a corpse just as he was about to shoot me, then laughing my ass off as he shot himself in the face on the way down
Something similar happened to me in this where a guy jumped off his horse as it got spooked and as he hit the ground blasted himself.
GTA for me was trying to get cops to shoot each other by shooting them in the leg or arms

@@conroygreyfin7011 I know I'm kinda late, but I remember I was being chased through lemoyne at night by some bounty hunters, and as I shot one of them, he fell of his horse and blew up his lantern, killing him and his horse. Felt like a true badass.

@@cptftw8673 there's also hunting/playing scenarios, i've seen hawks come down and take rabbits, snakes or fish. white foxes hopping up on the snow and sink to hunt mice. coyote's chasing rabbits. horses play fighting and wolves too. badger fighting off a coyote. Grizzly bear hunting for fish and fighting off wolves. and when you kill someone after a while crows or vultures come to eat the body, even pigs eat the bodies if they're near. the game is insanely detailed and full of little events people tend to miss.
Savage well tbh I haven’t seen the interactions between animals but I did hear something about those things being in the game, and I knew there was the decomposing mechanisms too because if you kill a horse and you wait and wait it goes from a recently dead horse to a pile of bones and when people die too I believe they become skeletons too
CptFTW I’ve seen the animal interactions mostly just do the hunting without the hunting, follow people and things around and anazing shit tends to just happen

Anybody realize that the weeks go faster ever since we started to play RDR 2? Its been 4 weeks and almost a month since the release date and it still feels like the game just came out a week ago.

For sure. Im only just on chapter 4 and I've been playing quite a bit....usually go exploring/hunting...fishing...do a few missions then some bountys...or side games...its insane. It says im only like 49% of the story so far...wich is ridiculous. Fantastic game.

The gunfire one is historically accurate. The iconic Colt Single Action Army had the during pin on the hammer, if the gun is not cocked and is on a loaded chamber, it can go off if hit or dropped. This is why at this time period most cowboys would only load 5 rounds so that the firing pin can rest on the empty chsnber and so that the gun does not go off.

You're great at this. You found the perfect scene to show as an example of the variety of species. Perfect sample, seriously, that really sold your point better than any spoken rant ever could, and it looked comically effortless. And the footage of Arthur running through bushes to show that he nudges out of the way... The way you ended it with one last demo of him nudging away from a different model of tree - you nailed your argument. Same thing with showing diff guns in diff situations getting knocked out of diff hands. These things are always tough because if done properly, no one would know how much work would have gone down behind the scenes. You should add this to your resume, brother. Hope you're proud of your work and I hope you do something useful and honestly bigger with it.

I fought the mountain man in Valentine early on and stole his hat. I came through Valentine returning a bounty, riding the lady through the streets. Unbeknownst to me, the mountain man saw me and then followed me to the Sheriff's office. While returning the bounty the mountain man jumped me, and when I finally fought back, the Sheriff shot and killed me. Still got the hat though, so I got that goin for me..

XO only game that I think comes close in the next couple of years is Cyberpunk, where they want to make it so that if you look at something during a conversation then those you’re talking to will notice it, and circumstantially comment on it. I just hope that game is released by 2020, though no matter how late it comes out it’ll be well worth the wait, just like this game was and GTA 6 will be.

How about when you have a carcass on your horse and then you stow the pelt he actually tucks the pelt up underneath the carcass instead of it just appearing on the horse, I thought that was a nice detail....
or if you kill a dear and put it near water, fish are attracted to it and will eat the der (some and die if the leave the water)

I have a detail for you. I don't know if it was a coincidence or not. I was overweight in game up to 6% stamina drain. And when I walked up the stairs in the Valentine Hotel I was out of breath and breathing heavily by the time I got to the top.

kibblz your hair can only grow one level of length outside of a loading screen. You must sleep or fast travel to grow more levels of hair. He probably just drank hair tonic and slept a night and came back.
It goes pretty quick if you drink a hair tonic and take a stagecoach to the other side of the map
