- In this Building a House From Start to Finish Episode we start out by putting in a residential culvert while the framing of the house continues. The first floor gets completely framed out by the carpenters and it finally starts to feel like our home. At this same time the residential well company comes out and installs a well for our drinking water. We thought this project would be a simple home design but it turns out to be a lot of work! Overall, we're loving building our new custom home!

Hey, what was the cost of just labor for framing your house?
So far what I've confirmed through this series is HOA's are absolute BS.
Lisa, you have been misinformed about the need of the water truck during the well drilling process. The purpose of the water, once mixed with bentonite, is to keep the walls of the drilled hole open and stable until the drilling is complete, plus bring the removed material back to the surface. In some cases, if rock is close to ground surface, they will skip the slurry mix and quickly install a casing to hold the walls open. As always, ask a true professional before commenting.
Water divining is pure nonsense.
