The scene with Mrs. Chung is beautiful at the same time sad. This should not be a deleted scene. In my opinion.
But removing this is more effective as it put Joy in a more isolated and lonely disposition, leading her up to the events of the film.

The scene with mrs chung is really relatable for us who is far away from our home and is tired and is depressed. Yung mag bre breakdown ka nalang bigla. Yung gusto mo nang sumuko. Gusto mo ng umuwi nalang. I was a joy once but thank God I'm happy again.

Agree. Scene with Mrs. Chung, if wasn’t deleted, could’ve added more weight and justice to Joy’s character of pursuing her dreams and leave Ethan behind. This scene could have been a significant, deep, turning point for her. I now know this was what I’ve been trying to “look for ” in the movie I felt was missing, but is essential.

Kahit sinong amo magagalit talaga kay joy kasi iniwan niya yung bata mag isa na may P.W.D... Ganun talaga ang mga Chinese, pero naging super bait sila kay joy, dapat nga tangal na siya kasi iniwan niya yung bata mag isa.. Inuna pa niya yung nanay niya, na niloko siya.. Ibinigay ng amo kung ano gusto ni joy under sa terms niya..

Alden and Kathryn really brought out the best in each other. They are both generous actors so they were able to match the intensity required for their respective characters. I am glad they both played as Ethan and Joy because after watching the movie I can't imagine anyone else playing these characters aside from them.

Hello Love Goodbye will always be the most relatable Filipino movie for me. :) Broke up with boyfriends because our goals are not aligned. Broke up with a foreigner boyfriend because of culture differences and also different goals. I think in this modern time, people break up not because they don't love each other, but because of irreconcilable differences.

The best star cinema film in this decade. Anak in the last decade (2000). Hello love goodbye for this decade (2019). The last scene with Ethan shedding tears was also gut punching. He's happy for Joy, so it must be why 'tears of joy', the tears of letting go and being happy for the person he loves. The movie as good as it was would not be worse but be even better with deleted scenes.
Basta ang masasabi ko lang, Kath & Alden are really perfect for the role as well as the supporting casts! They're all awesome! Ang husay nilang lahat! 😊❤️

Ethan and Joy go for a walk scene, was full of kilig! That simple gestures and no language it is only the way how they stare to each other gives on high of so much kilig! Super strong chemistry! 😍 I really love this tandem! Hope you will give them a more pair up movie/shows! They're tandem was loved by casuals and i can say they can be one of the most bankable tandem, given and already proven!

The scene with Mrs Chung was a powerful way of showing humanity...giving hope that there are real kind bosses...that the silent slowly breakdown of Kath aka Joy is what many of us has felt has experienced...I wished they kept this part...especially the message...you Love you ...otherwise Kath as always delivers the best that she has within her...it made me cry just that small role...
mrs. chung's, tears of joy and that walk along scene, they're wonderful scenes in itself. kumbaga standing on itself, not considering on the entirety of the movie, maganda talaga. pero siguro, siguro lang naman, kaya nadelete ang mga scenes na'to because of the phasing of the entire story. probably it would have been dragging if naisama pa, marami din naman talagang great scenes that contributed to the entire story. baka storytellers needed to make it concise on a particular part. That part where mrs. chung comforts joy is really a touching one, opinion ko lang kung kaya sya nadelete is to allow more contrast to joy's story. she felt na naiipit sya sa pangarap ng pamilya, pressure from work and ang kakampi nya lang ay ang mga ofw friends nya and si ethan. and the chinese family weren't really bad employers but i think the film wanted to portray them as quite distant to joy's personal life although from time to time they expressed their care. siguro kase ganun naman kadalasan in real life probably. ayaw siguro nilang kumbaga eh 'lumambot' yung plot na yun. but it would have been a touching scene. sometimes you just wish you could have crammed all the 'feels' and the good scenes pero syempre stories are effective within a context. probably lang naman ✌️

it's been a few months since this movie was released, but until now I can't move on with them bcs they were so great! hope to see them together in one film again.
Kathryn's "sana last na si marydale" and Mrs Chung's talk almost had me in tears. That wish for marydale spoke so much about how hard an ofw's life is. It was underrated but it meant a lot.
