@BIazylol.. ofc it is easier, lot less competition and in case of bad performanse or return from injury he can still count on being call up for int. Duty ehile in eu there is a lot more options and demands from players, so this way he played it safe and chose nation whose only good continental rival is mexico, country from whome quarter of usa players originate from
@BIazy its not just competition inside selection but also other countries in continental tournament and qual. For world cup that affects both team and individual development.. look at perisic..he is almost 35 still reaching ipresive top speeds and runing 14km per match on int. lvl... then their is modrić, mandžukić, lovren and many other who extend their prime, quality of play, and phisical longevity.. playin for usa with weaker teammatates and in easier tournaments affects him as a player as well for worse
