@@ratedRblazin420 I think cats' back legs are better for jumping than a dog's, compare for example, big cats like tigers, mountain lions to wolves (creatures of very roughly comparable size and weight).
Powerful muscles in their hind legs and back. Their hind legs are proportionally longer than a dog's. They use their spinal column and back leg muscles like a spring.
@@ratedRblazin420 Most cats can leap better then dogs, even the chunky ones, lol. In fact a dog the same size and weight as the cats probably wouldn’t have been able to make those jumps at all.

Olivia is so clever figuring a way to get through without having to jump. I wonder if it has something to do with the hardwood floors being slippery that she doesn't like to take higher jumps? As always, it's a pleasure to see your furry family having fun!
It has nothing to do with the sexes. Olivia prefers to avoid all obstacles on the dog playground.

Sorry. I mean, Olivia doesn't like jumping over barriers on the dog court. Apparently the barrier at home is also causing her embarrassment.
@@NorthYukiHusky Thank you for the explanation. Olivia shouldn't be embarrassed, she shows very high critical thinking skills by finding a way to get through the barrier without having to jump over. Not all dogs like to jump. 😃

@@NorthYukiHusky Maybe she was having trouble calculating the length, height, and angle distance of the jump? Or it was the anxiety that her treat was going to be taken and had to think fast? Lol
Rather the second option. She was worried that her treat would go to someone else.
Olivia is such a sweetie! When she gains the confidence of her siblings, she will be clearing the levels in style!
I don't know, Olivia seems too smart for that. Or not? she is a wonderful runner and she can jump on any surface. So she is driven by something else in this unwillingness to jump over an obstacle.

Inside that space, is not natural, and she doesn't have space, not to consider that the floor is slippering, dogs slip down the floor if they run inside a home, and it is dangerous, they might get injures, not to consider that by the time is dangerous for their bones, I mean displays. I am absolutely in love with Bat. Those 👀 I love all the experiments you do with your animals. It has inspired me to do some other training with ours. They know basic commands, but I am starting to do more tracking training, jumping, and food “waiting” training. They are just two 8 month old rescued very large puppies…but have learned so much in such a short period of time. You are one of my favorite channels on You Tube.

Not to scare you but there may be a reason Olive didn't want to jump. It could be related to some kind of pain that she has. Some dogs have pains in their hips or a leg joint for years before you know it. Might want to check her just in case. ✌ Great content!

My worst fear; our huskies learning to jump our 4' fence. Every day we have a herd of deer that parade past the house. Our doggies would love to chase them, mine you, they would never come back if they did. lol
Oh, yes, there is a reason to worry 😳 Did you somehow secure the dogs? You can use GPS collars and dogtags with phone numbers.
