In today's video I am heading back to the Goodwill Outlet Bins in Glendale because I actually haven't gone since 2019! This Outlet is in quite a big warehouse with a BUNCH of bins! I basically had no expectations of what I was looking for, maybe some fall/winter clothes, but again just kind of open! Karina and I decided after the bins to hit up the actual Goodwill store next door and I honestly was so surprised how many amazing pieces I found!!

There's small tape measures that clip onto a key ring for cheap. It's surprising how often that comes in handy once you get one.
yep there are all kinds of really compact ones that can live in your purse all the time so you never forget it.
You should keep a tape measure in your car for thrifting so then you will always have one with you for thrifting

For the sleeves of the first top: turn it into a vest! Cut away most of them leaving a bit to roll inside twice and finish it by hand with a blanket stitch (that kind of retains a bit of elasticity). I've done it in the past, it works like a charm ;)

I love you and your thrift videos so much! I want to bring some awareness to this issue in the comments though since this video is about shopping at Goodwill. I didn’t know this until recently, but Goodwill uses people with disabilities to make their business look good while in reality they do not treat them the same. Goodwill has the choice not to recognize the diploma’s adults with disabilities receive, and in doing so they legally do not have to pay them the same as typical workers. There are many instances where workers with disabilities at Goodwill are making as little as 3.99 an hour, if not less. While Goodwill can technically do this legally, it completely goes against their mission to create an equal and fair workforce. I don’t expect everyone to stop shopping at Goodwill, but I do think this really should be talked about more. There’s no hate towards this video either, I just wanted to bring awareness!!
Yes! Between that and Salvation Army’s homophobia and taking the homeless people that seek their help’s possessions, I don’t know if I even want to go to bigger thrift store once covid calms down more in my area. It’s very disheartening and awful.

At Joanns or online, you can find a tailors retractable measuring tape. It goes to 60 inches and it's tiny and easy to just keep in your purse. I would highly recommend it or they also sell mini metal tape measurers at like Lowes or again online. They barely take up any room, so they're really nice. Also, super envious of your bins. All the ones around me are all awful! I'm glad you find some nice pieces :)

I think the blue silk blouse might be a vintage bed jacket! I remembered seeing them in some tv shows from the 70s and earlier. I may be wrong, but it does remind me of them. :) Looks great with jeans!

I have that exact same white tiered skirt. I’m 5’2” 110lbs so I took in the waist but kept the high-waist stretchy part becuz it layers SO smoothly underneath all my midi and maxi skirts & dresses with over the knee socks and boots for a prairie vibe, like a petticoat. Keep it and get that sewing machine out. ; )

Bro I just went to this goodwill today and I just had to see if anyone shared their thoughts on it. People are CRAZY at this location, so much pushing and people literally sprinting to the newest bins. Maybe it was just the day I picked to go idk. I give you props for being patient enough to find a good amount of stuff, I only left with one thing!
Another idea for the white skirt would be to view it as a strapless dress and then do a corset like back with ribbon loops and ribbon ties to cinch it in. Love the dark pink coat.

There's a goodwill outlet here in kent, Washington state. And right next door is a new goodwill 360, which is similar to goodwill blue boutique. But better has alot of higher end items. I got 3 Michael Kors puses, a kate spade bag and a brand new coach purse for $130
