Really been liking your videos. Would even watch hour or two hours of Sloth gameplay. But it is a lot more work making these than people realize, so thank you for all your work

Last game was a tough matchup especially on the draw. Your best chance was baiting counter with dreadknight while having a play after it to kill Rotpriest. Two options on the table: cast creature and present a blocker; or cast adventure side representing you need a land or removal. What opp would do depends from player to player but i think the blocker would be worse for him delaying the poison plan and forcing to use a spell to connect. If he tapped to counter, playing the swamp would allow cutting down the priest. Since you played tapped land before casting dreadknight he knew countering had no drawbacks.
Great one dude, love golgari always good. Do u think u could do a mono blue deck based of seed shark at some point? I have been trying to get it to work together with djinn and I think I almost got it but I just can’t get it to work the way I want it after trying several different cards. Maybe u can do something cool with it, love those cards 👍🏻
To be fair, I think azorius control is simply better - especially with cavern of souls, mono blue decks are usually more djinn focused, so you can kill quickly and finish the game. Shark is imho more fitting classic control decks, as it blocks great, and gives you instant-speed, big creatures even after playing sweeper etc.
I don't really see much reason to stay at mono blue - and drawbacks are pretty serious overall :)

While I'm a day late, it's Golgari Day at The Slotherhouse! I do enjoy a great midrange build, and this version looks like a blast to play, even without Glissa or Sheoldred. Honestly, it doesn't even need them. Like yourself, I, too, dislike Simic Toxic with a passion. I can't wait to see what you do when Outlaws releases. Thank you for the content. 29:27 should probably Cut Down when Ivy is still on the stack because then you get less poison counters.
Nah, I didn't like this play - the whole strategy was to get him to make a mistake. Game was lost - and if I cut down early, he just wouldn't tap mana. I hoped he will overextent, tap 1 mana too little, and we can remove something. We were at lost game on turn 2 tbh, just didn't draw correct cards

Golgari is in a great spot right now, probably one of my favourite meta deck, both as mine or as opponent. Just good, solid, fair magic

Please more match ups were Liliana is relevant, I think you could change her for Path of perish in BO1, also 26 lands? wouldnt 24 be enough having 2 more slots for other cards?
This version has highest winrate atm, so answer is probably no ;) Liliana is great for bo1, beacause she is great in all matchups, while path of peril hits both sides, and is dead card in many cases. We aren't a full control deck here, and gix command is our sweeper. 24 lands imho is very low, I get mana screwed regularly at 25 even

I love Golgari but its so hard to beat Sunfall.
True that, but deck is around 60% winrate, so it seems it's not as big issue as one might think - it seems azorius is pretty rare overall, and even then, sometimes you can steal a win. But yeah, definitely last card you want to see with this type of deck, it's most aimed at temur control+all aggro meta decks
Hey Sloth, when Outlaws releases maybe consider combining Rakdos Joins Up and Drivnod (reanimate Drivnod -> Sac = 16 dmg + lasting effects). I don't play anymore, so I'd love to see you try it, I'm sure as a fellow black enjoyer you'd appreciate getting to play Drivnod

I keep telling you over and over!! The poison decks are so overpowered, most give up. Please WOTC, print cards that remove poison counters....
They do often seem overpowered, but they must not be too broken or the meta would have more toxic decks, right?
