Taylor Swift fans are taking a closer look at one of her most celebrated songs after a surprise revelation about her ex, Jake Gyllenhaal. The "Presumed Innocent" star acknowledged a little-known fact about himself in a new interview with the Hollywood Reporter, sharing that he's been legally blind since he was a child. According to the mag, Jake was born with a lazy eye and started wearing intensive corrective lenses around age 6, with his current glasses having a reported 20/1250 prescription. The info sparked immediate recognition for Swifties, who connected Jake's eyesight to a lyric from the music superstar's "All Too Well." The 2012 track is widely believed to be about Taylor's whirlwind romance with the actor and features the line, "You used to be a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed." It's not the first time the reference has come up. Back in 2020, Jake posted a now-deleted throwback photo of himself wearing glasses, prompting followers to flood the comment section with the famous lyric. The now-43-year-old has long seemed unfazed by the "All Too Well" chatter and even told THR that his vision doesn't bother him, either - in fact, he's learned to find it comforting. "I like to think it's advantageous. I've never known anything else. When I can't see in the morning, before I put on my glasses, it's a place where I can be with myself."

Can someone please tell the person reporting that 20/1250 is not a prescription. It’s a visual acuity, completely different thing. And it’s his visual acuity WITHOUT his corrective lenses. You are only legally blind if you have a low visual acuity WITH your corrective lenses. To be legally blind you need a visual acuity less than 20/400, no one measures much more beyond that. 20/1250 isn’t a thing anyone actually measures. I expect he was exaggerating because he doesn’t know the numbers (understandably). Can someone please report accurately.

I know exactly what he means. Before putting on my lenses I feel in a different place. There’s things I can’t see and therefore don’t bother me. Putting in my lenses means i join the real world. Sometimes I prefer not to, until I stub my toe or trip over the dog. 🤷🏻‍♀️
