On my shoulder seam, I added twill tape. I am having issues getting enough clear elastic for the dress (shipping is super expensive ATM).
It has worked really well. I learnt that from Tilly and the Buttons. She has a book called Stretch and it’s super informative when it comes to sewing with stretch fabrics.

@@LydiaNaomi that part I used what clear elastic I could find. It’s slightly bigger than the one in the instructions, I had to trim it with a rotary cutter.

@@LydiaNaomi just made the dress. Had to do the bust adjustment also went a size up because fabric was about 50% stretch and dress came perfectly. Also made tbe sleeves long and also increased the skirt length. Easy directions and pattern was perfect.
There are some great tips for the clear elastic and serger in here. Put on my fall makes list. Going to try in ITY since I have it on hand.

I would like to add pockets to the dress. Any suggestions as to how to do this.
Here is my tutorial on adding a pocket, you can use my free pattern: czcams.com/video/5UmOahjwuqI/video.html I reccomend sewing this area with a zigzag rather than overlocker to make it easier.
My Joann doesn't have clear elastic in 1/4 inch! :( Would you reccomend knitted or braided elastic instead?
You could use those you're just a little bit more bulky! Also if you're not sewing on a serger you could use 1 cm wide clear elastic. I mean you could use the one centimeter wide on a serger too it just means that you're cutting the elastic as you sew.
