Oh man, does this song fit Mr. Collins! What an emotionally expressive masculine voice. Well done, Phil.
It's simple. This is one of the greatest songs you'll hear in your lifetime. Absolutely remarkable. Phil Collins does it like no other. If you don't get chills listening to this, you don't have a gosh darn pulse.
For me, nobody interprets a Paul Brady song quite like the man himself, but Phil absolutely nailed this. Hats off!

Paul is a great songwriter. A singer? Not so much. But this song was made for Phil’s expressive voice. Truly a wonderful rendition of a great song.

In an age when 'singers' use take after take to get a usable vocal for songs, using all sorts of studio tinkering, along comes a bloke in a waistcoat and blasts them all out of the water. Not always a huge fan of his solo stuff, the guy has one of the best voices in the world, particularly live, where many fail... Badly.

hmm... had listened to this song years and always thought it was live, but on seeing this, i'm fairly sure that Phil is mimming.
