I can’t tell you how much I need this CZcams channel. I keep trying to get back to Church and be in Communion again and go to Confession but, it doesn’t seem that there are many actual Priests left. I keep trying to reach back and go to Church and set up time for Confession only to be “ghosted” by the Priest. I hope God will put someone in my path soon so I can get back on the right path and lead my wife and young children down it as well. As it says, it becomes harder and harder to be faithful and find the faithful in the end times and I fear that is what I’m experiencing (not that I’m of the faithful or worthy by any means whatsoever).
Seems like your being faithful. You could use the Internet for other things, but here you are. I'd imagine you pray and such. That's faithfulness. Just do your best.

@@MrMatt531 it might be worth physically going to your closest Orthodox church when there is a service, for returning vespers or vidual is a good choice as it tends to be quieter and many priests routinely hear confession after this service. I would also suggest that you may find the welcome you are looking for in a parish of a jurisdiction you have not thought of considering before as laypeople we should not overly concern ourselves about the bishops squabbling but seek faithful presbyters who can guide us to salvation.
Satan is only after those who are God’s children. Talk to your heavenly father. You can confess your sins and repent without ever seeing a priest again. Don’t be deceived by that. Study your Bible with your family, “study to shew yourself approved.” You’ll be fine, just stay on that narrow path.

I have come to believe that often when we 'don't forgive ourselves,' it can mean that our pride doesn't want to accept what we have done. We may not want to acknowledge the sinfulness of our sins or our true, helpless without God, fallen selves. We don't want to acknowledge how low we can stoop. That isn't the only reason, but can surely be one of them. Again, we turn to Jesus and fall before His Cross and His Mercy. He knew/knows how very far down in sin that we can go. He knew it when He died for us. He already knows.. just talk to Him.

I am a baby christian, so I am still learning about a lot of things. While watching this I just had this thought.. Why does God not take the demons out of this world? I know Jesus used to cast out demons, but as far as I know they don't die, they just wander around until they find a new body. Why doesn't he destroy them? I know that eventually everything will be made new and no evil will exist anymore, but I just wonder why he let's them live until then. The demons unwittingly help us to find salvation. In their hatred for us, they provide us opportunities to suffer for Christ, to repent, to resist, to be patient and so on.
There is a war underway ~ we are being tested. We must continually turn to Jesus for our healing and salvation. One day~ the demons will be no more. Oh! Happy Day!
I need help when I fall into my addiction I always tell God I'm sorry even if I don't feel like it and tell him I'm gonna try better but soon after I fall again I feel like purposely sinning but I don't want to I want to be free I want to be faithful to him but it's hard my flesh desires to do these things but my soul doesn't want to I keep giving to my flesh I want my relationship with the Lord to be strong and genuine but it feels like I'm lost and I know the sins I commit and will commit he washed away and forgave but idk why I just can't stop

@@SMILKSIt's okay brother. We all go through it. I assume that addiction is masturbation or something similar like weed or dopamine stimulating stuff. This does not hurt anyone else and is self medication. It's still a sin , but it's very different from harming someone willingly. You should try to do it less and give yourself longer breaks in between the times you fall back. But how does the verse go? the righteous and the unrighteous man fall but the righteous man falls 7 times but he gets up 7 times. Until a tree is broken it needs some good axe swings. If the tree is flat and huge it will take some time. But you'll still get there! stay strong!!!
So, what is orthodoxy? I would be considered protestant, but i don’t fall under the category of the shallow “happy” christianity. Many protestants do fall to that deception. I am curious as to why orthodoxy is the “correct” path as opposed to somebody who is striving for sanctification and God’s will, yet does not hold to traditional orthodox beliefs. I’m not at all being disrespectful or argumentative, I am genuinely seeking honest input.
Jesus taught us “If you wish to be my disciple you must take up your cross.” Do you imagine He was asking you to be His disciple part-time? The way of Calvary is the inly path to God, and any modern attempts to avoid this reality do not come from God. But don’t be afraid, putting the old man to death is the road to life. Repentance, tears, struggle - this is the ancient faith found new and alive in the Church. Your genuine desire for God has brought you this far.
Something is bothering me . Let's take for exemple that my Grandparents or a loved one had/has weak belief in christ or worse , is atheist , would they still go to heaven or not , and if not how could i ever be happy there knowing that they will burn for eternity while i can't (or can ?) do nothing for them . I hope someone has an awnser for me ...
God will not let us remember such things as far as i know. But if you pray for them God will hear your prayers. His will be done, maybe they have some hope of coming with you if you pray for them! Because every human was made and is known by God.
