- Over the years maplestory has added a lot of systems maps and monsters to the game. Which might make it difficult to know what exactly to focus on
So to help the maplers who are having that issue we are going to train a character to level 200 and I will show you how you can set yourself up for success! By the end of this video we will have set our character up to continue the midgame and start progressing towards the midgame

Hey quick advice? I made a character with the terms burning event and got him to about 200 and I wanna main him I'm choosing to not level him until I finish maxing 12 link skill characters. What are other ways I can maximize my main or is it too late?
Coppersan thanks for this. I literally have been playing MapleStory on and off again since release!!! EVERYTIME I would get overwhelmed and never pick a main. My highest has only ever been a 205 Mercedes. Now with your guide I'm already completing Mules and have far more guidance on what to do!!!

just a note for everyone after lion long castle op wrote mushroom castle but its actually mushroom shrine
Another tip in reboot is to save stack of enemy loot and use your snail smart and dismiss it when not needed. You can make a 5 hour pet last 5 months.
yes, whenever i don't have pet on a character i use the sheep from the box and then the snail turning it on and off when i don't need him around

Why save stack of loot though?
@@malcolmlim4597 Think he means, save all the loot on the floor, then when you're ready/feel like it, pick it all up, then dismiss your pet and go back to grinding in whatever area you're in, especially useful for F2P players who want their free snail to last as long as possible.

Right? I last played almost a decade ago and I stopped when I got my Xenon to 200, which was a massive achievement for me at the time.

@@snogard106 People have said 200 to 300 is the new 1-200. Nobody is currently level 300.
Honestly kind of prefer it this way? The level is just a number (to an extent) - most importantly you finally have a solid kit to work with, and you can focus on gearing instead.
New ages is making 200-260 early game
@@Zyphent well then its just like it was in 2007... there was a time when tauramaces were the hardest monsters in the game at level 71 and the highest level who was level 93 got barely any xp. There was 0 chance they'd be able to get 200 back then. When 300 came out odium didn't even exist and hardest mobs were barely level 270

An important note to make about the blockbusters is that you absolutely should do the lomien ones regardless of whether or not it is your main. Once you do them it is completed server wide, so all new characters won't have to do it. Also, specifically for the Damien one (Heros Of Maple), you can skip acts 1-3 and just do act 4 for completion.
Just that bit about “new” characters - does that apply to all current chars too, so you do the blockbuster on ONE char and you never need to do again on ANY (same world and/or acc)? If so, you only get any rewards once, on the one char you done it on?
@@MisterTIBS Yes. Once you do the blockbusters on one character, it is considered complete for that world. So any current and new characters will have it considered complete.
If only I had this when I started 6 months ago on reboot. I joined reboot thinking that I want to play this like an offline RPG. Joining a good guild made this game so much more enjoyable.

gotta share this with my whole squad who just got back into it
after you reach 190 you can also train at fox valley very similar to future perion but almost no one goes there so you have free maps with 100% burn almost every time you will need a good amount of pots tho because they hit harder than future perion monsters
Also i suggest to join a guild can be a normal guild or a mule guild they will give you free stat wich can be very useful to train

Update so far, aside from work but I got a Mercedes to 120 so far, and think I may work on an Aran or Evan next.
My highest ever level is a 147 BW (main) and I can’t begin to comprehend how people can lv 1-200 so quickly…
Either way, it’s still fun to play this game

thanks for this video, i reference it on all of my link skill mules, however, when you said getting a legendary inner ability only takes a few minutes of clicking you were completely lying. i still have yet to get one because after 10 minutes of clicking i give up.

Anybody watching this guide in 2022 should consider the theme dungeons as doing all 4 can put your character into the 70s. The monsters levels scale to 59 and the quests continue to give great exp into the mid 70s.

Once you get the link skill mules to 120 it gets a lot easier. I would suggest Evan, Aran, Mercedes. Just get them to 120 for your link skill and it'll make leveling your main much quicker and enjoyable. Plus you can collect some meso in the meantime. Good luck! @@thegeekloose15 They're only server wide, so if you have them on say Scania, you will not have them on Aurora or Reboot.

Couple things I'd like to point out. Haven and Dark World Tree quests for the absolab equips are weeklies, not dailies. And if you're anywhere near serious with the class you're playing, absolab set is not really a "might be useful" thing. The base (5) set is a 100% must get weapon, shoulder from dark world tree, glove cape and boots from haven. Of course you will need to defeat lotus and damien to get this set, but there's a lot of carries and parties to kill those bosses.

yeah a definite must. go from pensalir gear and transfer hammer to lvl 150 fodder items then transfer to absolab gear. lvl 150 shoulders and gloves can be found from hard rammaru or i think you can spend magnus coins for shoes and gloves.. i think. And you can use enraged zak cape for the cape.

Thinking about switching over to reboot in the far future. but would you suggest making your main first and then leveling up important link skill classes or vice versa?
Just found out from my guild I joined yesterday that there is compensation that ends tomorrow that gives a ton of good shit including an arcane weapon and a ton of free levels post 200. It ends tomorrow so talk to (I think) maple admin and click the gifts option.
Is there an updated loot guide? I always had trouble getting the right loot while leveling up. Would be very helpful thanks

Coppersan for wings of fate does the quest line require you to be level 160+ to defeat some monsters to complete the quest? How did you get the wings at level 120 ish?
for someone who is just starting out, this guide is helpful but still really hard to follow. For example, if you say I should do Maple Tour twice a day, I have absolutely no clue what Maple Tour is or where it can be done. Would love to follow more but I just don't know what most things are. Like where is the free market to sell my boss crystals? I'm such a noob
Theres a portal in henesys for the free market. You sell boss crystals there. Maple tour can be found in the guide tab under special content
A good tip is if you don't know we're a certain dungeon or activity is check the guide and the dimensional portal

You can only do them twice per day per server! I would do them on your main!

we need PQs. The leveling in this game is fast, but repetitive. By the time I finished all my Link Skill mules, I had no motivation or energy to fucking cycle thru the same content again.

Fast ? I feel like someone aint got past 230. Thats the whole point if the game tho , picking a clas and optimizing your rotation for him. Cant say every class feels the same as most of thrm feel bery different. Ofcourse if yiur just mindlesly grinding without utilizing class skills properly it will feel repetetive , however , if you optimize every place yiu trsin at and try ti find that perfect rotation on each map fir whatever clas yoire playing you will griw to realise that its not the same. And i mean cmon , you are playing a grinder MMO , thats like the whole point.

I am just so lost watching this video, the highest I ever leveled a character to was 135, and that along with a couple of other classes that I had around 120 took me pretty much all of high school to get. But now it's recommended that I level *FIVE* classes to 120 before I even start my main?

I had a question about gollux. When I tried beating it around level 190, but after beating/disabling all of its body parts, I did barely anything to the head. I was doing no damage, barely scratching its health bar. Did the boss get changed?
Yes, it did. It has changed to a lot harder state.

I don't know if something was wrong with my gear, but I was brutally murdered in an unbalanced time map as 116 lv Mercedes. Till this point guide worked without any issues.
Do you have enough starforce?
So do you not have to make a kanna from the start and just farm at 220+ zones for mesos for other classes?
Many people make a farm Kanna for the sole purpose of meso farming, but also many - like myself - don't like Kanna and don't want to put so much effort to bring one to lvl 220 + gear everything to legendary to be able to farm.
Instead, pick a main you *enjoy* playing and once you reach 5th job, get as much %meso gear on this character. You can meso farm with every character, though some get a bit more per hour and obviously Kanna gets the most, that's why it's such a popular class.
Do daily Maple Tour and Ursus during happy hour if possible, use that money you get over a few weeks to make meso gear. You will be missing a bit of damage at first, but it will pay off real quick.
TL;DR: No, you don't have to make a farming Kanna when you don't enjoy it or don't have the time. You can farm meso on every character, though a bit less effective.

All maplestory youtubers can't all be the same. Then that's not fun. They all play the game for different reasons and make different types of content. Some are hardcore endgame players, some are lighthearted and casual, some are informational, some are a mix of those things. I like that there are a variety.

The damage reduction is 5% damage per level
Inner ability is not worth to reroll to legendary with IA points, just use the circulators from cashshop for mesos. The boss crystals are 6x im pretty sure
Is it wise to make a Mercedes and make it burning with the event just for the link skill?
I hate how in reboot you mostly have to rely on guildmates to get CRA gear... its hard to get people to run for you xD

I wish on these videos you could be more clear on like where maps are or how to access the content your doing to level up, I spent like an hour trying to figure out how to get in that first dungeon and still never did, when I look it up online I get 100 different answers as I'm sure the process has changed over the 15 plus years the games been out.

In all honesty it seems near impossible to play this game without a Tera burning event that gives gear. From level 10-120 there is practically no way to get a weapon drop for certain, because of that it takes so long to train 😔 I try so hard to get back into this game but it seems no matter what I do it's just a painful experience

wow EU reboot server is so empty with only 20 channels... when i play on NA reboot, all 30 channels have max population bars during busy hours

Once I got to 200 I learned the hard way that you have to make other characters to boost your stats. These arcane monsters are really tanky and at lv 203 my pathfinder is barely at 300k in the damage stat. It's ridiculous lmao

How long does it usually take you to get a character to 200 on reboot?
Depends what legion/links and how many exp coupons you have. An 'average' player would have access to the main exp links and access to some exp coupons, with these it easily be done in a week or so, this includes training for around 2 hours per day though
You can skip a lot of the quests he mentions if you're making mules for legion and links. But if you're working on your first character or your main, then it'll take longer since you should do all the quests (or most of) that he mentions.
