No, the pond you are on about is a natural spring that flows down to the park pond then exits the other side of the pond down into the woods. The Ballywhack pond was situated at the bottom on the right, down the path past the old cafe which were a old mine shaft? I think..

Born in thorpe crescent 1967 great times growing up in miggy,running home from school and getting down bakkies on my old bikes

I was and still am mates with a lad I knew who still lives on Scissons Ave that I’ve known since the mid 80’s
