Some ships move up in tier as I go through more ships and realize how many garbage ships there really are at T5. Prime example is Emerald which started in D-tier, then I'm reminded of how much worse the competition is and it ends up in B eventually.

Kongo's range is hilarious. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but i think it was close to 24km range with spotter planes if i remember correctly??? You could pretty much shoot at their spawn at the start of the game.
as someone currently at tier 5 i can confirm the kongo (and to a lesser extent the myogi) is super fucking refreshing to play with the speed and long range

@@plasot Kongo has great long range dispersion because of unique IJN formula, it just feels bad because the range is so much higher than her contemporaries. And 30s reload is fine for the tier, dont know what you're talking about there. Only the German BBs reload faster.
I was 7-0 in the Kongo. Unfortunately had to travel so not more games in it. Shocked I was. lol
@@plasot Its one of those BBs that can be mentally exhausting, either little dispersion or a bit too much, consistent enough to land a few shell hits at its 21km max range.
The hill is so good in randoms. Have procked halsey before with it and the dpm is legit insane.
In my opinion Premium ships should get + 1 to position as you can have 21p commander with game changing skills.

@@00bean00 Yes the point is that from tier 5 to tier 10 USN destroyers use the same shell. Naturally the shell will be most powerful in Tier 5 environment

Bought Agincourt after watching Jingles video on it, ship is bonkers to play and probably the most fun T5 BB.
Rio di Janeiro is the same ship but main gun focused. It's completely broken

When flolo was talking about how the Furutaka kept getting buffs I was wondering why wg didn’t stop and give the Zao at least one of those buffs instead. I guess they used all their japanese buffs on the furry taco first lol

Omaha stays in D because it's "the Omaha". it's like playing a cruiser in the Hermes Op; you become target number one because of the "Free Cits" reputation, regardless of other cruisers often being just as vulnerable.
I hate the fact he ranked Murmansk above Omaha. Both don't have any armor, but Omaha can hide and farm due to its shell arc. Murmansk doesn't have the shell arc to do that... and open water with a Murmansk is trolling.
Omaha is actually quite strong, as long as you don't sail broadside to BBs like a jackass...
She has great HE pen for the tier, good agility, high rate of fire and fire chance, and can use islands very effectively.
She's a tough ship for beginners, but I'm surprised someone as good as Flamu would put her so low.
@@landochabod7 Pretty sure BB AP can cit her from any angle, so not sailing broadside won't save you forever.
She's also trivial to citadel broadside for anything else with AP loaded, so you have to stay dark because you can't stay angled to everyone at once.
But the real problem IMO isn't that the Omaha is especially bad with regards to stats; plenty of other t5 CLs have the same issue. The problem is that the Omaha's *reputation* means that loading into a game piloting an Omaha paints a target on you; you're going to have more AP shot at you than you would in another paper-thin CL.
If you play Omaha aggressive it can be wonderful. You're a Omaha and you will sink, so go down swinging. You can charge towards a BB, open fire at 15km max range, and "snake" towards them for a km or 2. You have 6 guns forwards and when you swerve back and forth you can fire some of the rear guns. You can quickly retreat while throttle juking and mashing the A and D keys, adrenaline and furious sweating is the side effect.

The Mutsuki and Minekaze really need to have their positions swapped though. Ever since the IJN DD line split, Mutsuki is just flat out better in almost every way.
I'm also not sure the Agincourt could really be called S tier. A 22kt top speed is really brutal for a ship so dependent on it's relatively short ranged secondaries.
Agreed, Mutsuki is very underated.
While she has half the guns of Minekaze, they shoot twice as fast, and turn much faster too. I find her guns to work better.
I feel the Texas is pretty good tbh, the guns feel unusually consistent for t5
texas was my favorite low tier seal clubber, it just really struggles in T6/7 matches. The guns slap cruisers and the range is decent. However, the Giulio Caesare is just a straight upgrade. My most played ship, 63% WR.

@@indra8188 texas is good, ive got over 150 matches in it. Heck, New York is just as good as Texas as long as there are no carriers.
Having played both texas and giulio, im just putting all into perspective.

I think New York is at least a C. It's basically tied tor best pen and broadside at it's tier. It has a pretty bad rap. I get away with murder in it because people don't take it seriously.
It's slow and doesn't have the best armor, but I always have great games in it!

Love playing the Marblehead ... fragile as glass but the guns can still inflict some reasonable damage and it has an 8 gun broadside which is not bad
I play it Lighthouse + DE and get like a 5 sec reload w/ 14% fire chance

Cesare gets S tier because it may be the single most OP ship at tier in the entire game. If it's not, it's certainly in the running. It's pretty fast (30kt or so w/ flag), agile, fast reload, accurate as hell guns, spaced armor, and it's *tiny*. So, getting effective hits on it is really quite difficult for anyone who isn't just going in complete straight lines. The Cesare is literally so OP there's a grand total of 2.5 Tier *7* BBs I'd worry about going up against 1v1 in the Cesare. First, the Nelson, because nuclear napalm HE and print new ship button. Then Scharnhorst/Gneisenau since they're faster and can thus dictate engagements. Just an absolutely bonkers little ship.
As someone who played RDJ many times, it's easy to commit war crimes on her. So much HE dpm... it's insane how good this ship is at burning others. You did well putting her at S tier.
Not sure about Ranked, but I definitely preferred the Mutsuki to the Minekaze for randos. Fewer guns, but iirc they have better traverse, and the torps are just night & day.
IMO Emerald is quite a strong ship in T5 ranked : the torp potential is huge.
See, Omaha is my favorite ship in the game, so I'll probably be using that. Surprised to see it not in the bottommost tier, though.
I love Omaha. The guns are amazing, even if the ship is made of paper. I play it often and do well in it.

Hawkins survivability should make it at least a tier
Oklahoma with it's excellent concealment and overpowered secondaries deserves to be at least at C. Her speed is awful and her reload is awful but compared to the rest of the T5 BBs its quite good.
Personal challenge: make the season in Genova and have a lot of fun using it like a torpedo boat with 203 one-only salvo: firing angles of torps are amazing
ger dd T 22 is very universal ship,i remember that i played on ranked sprint only T22,Minekaze and Gulio👌
T-22 (Crab bote) used to be ass but it's much more fun to play with hydro. The AA's not bad for the tier and the torps are ok and come up quickly.

The Furytaco, citadel king
Molotov had Donskoi guns, Kirov's are I believe a bit less powerful. Less muzzle velocity on the Kirov (800 to Molotov's/ Donskois 920)
The Krispy Kreme is a flamethrower. It's a T5 Russian Atlanta.
Exeter and Furutaka are basically the same boat. They're both hilariously good cruisers.

Took Pyotr Velikiy in brawls and had some interesting moments.
Most funny one when red team Pyotr Velikiy sneaked, popping out from island, made it to my broadside, I already prayed for heaven port, that guy was clearly aiming some wounded ship from my team further behind me, but very little by azimut. I was not sure if he already shot at my teammate , it was who shoot 1st he get big advantage.
Hastily turned my turrets catch his waterline getting full speed already behind my line, long seconds, probably rest of my life.
Unexpected result, 8shells went 4cits, full health Pyotr devastated by "himself".(Back in port).
Nicholas is THE hardcounter to Kamikaze and her clones.
Adding in, that with 5.8 km concealment your 5.5 km fast reloading torps can be pretty brutal against pushing enemies.
Also compared to Hill: Hill is better at sitting in smoke and farming since C-Turret has atrocious front angles. Wich cobined with 300 m worse concealment makes her way worse at hunting down those pesky Kamikazes at surprise torp pushing enemies.
Not to mention Gremy... Nicholas shits at Gremyashchy. With 300 m better concealment Nicholas can engage the gremy at a close range brawls.
Nicholas should be SS-Tier when played by a person with hands... When unskilled player she would be not that good but IMO no DD would be higher than C-Tier when played by unskilled persons. While useless torping at the flanks might by easier but its.. well kinda useless.
PS: Nicholas used to have good AA before AA got "fixed" out of the game.
I have the world record damage for a tier 5 cruiser in the Murmansk. She deserves at least B tier. Her guns are amazing.
Small note, only Molotov has the Donskoi guns (identical), while Mikoyan's shells are "better" individually, almost identical to Bagration's. Also Furu 200mm guns are a bit worse than the 203mm which are halfway between those and the Pensacola.

Globally agreed obviously although some of them, not so much (mostly bc with time we just remember a vague idea, which is misleading sometimes).
Like montecuccoli, atrocious guns, it’s a D tier… no contest to me, it was a nightmare playing that ship lol.
Email Bertin is extremely good at the opposite, you can dodge/duke/attract fire and get away if you react in time, I’ve got amazing tense games in the Emil Bertin, very good guns… if Omaha is C, Emil Bertin is a B if not A tier imo.
It’s like a St Louis at t5 for me, lots of potential if u keep track of who is firing at you.
And Pyotr Vielkiy is very good, I would put him at S tier, the only none-premium one… seems fair imo.
Other than that I agree with all as far as I remember (between all Russian CLs It’s quite vague tbh, hard to remember which does what and was decent but none was great, thats sure).
That was interesting, we don’t speak enough of low tiers, it’s sad… I am tempted to do the ranked bronze just for the fun of challenging t5 environment lol.

Not to mention that Emerald has THE best concealment of all T5 cruisers. Sure it's squishy, but only if you're being shot at, and between your smoke and your conceal, why are you spotted at all?
my clanmate runs Fujin and I run Hill with Halsey, getting confed and fletcher levels of dpm at T5 in Hill is great.
No way I'm gonna retrain for T5. (don't have any non-silver T5 American ships besides Texas...)
Not even sure I have any 10point captains on any T5....currently. (damn... I really don't wanna waste time or Commander XP, retraining.)

The Visby is a ship that seems bad and nobody chooses it. It is not bad however. It has quick torpedoes with a good reload. Ironically have achieved more kills on blind fired torps than any other ship other than the Halland. Oh and the Visby has a 40 knot speed and a boost. The speed in conjuction with size makes it a relatively tough ship to hit at range.
honestly as fun as Agincourt can be to play I don't see it being as much of an asset in ranked than Rio would be. Even with the improved secondaries range, the 22 knots will make it hard to utilise them unless the enemy waltz into you braindead. I would say Rio A and Agin B. I think definitely neither compare to GC.

I'm with you on the Furutaka. I'm being a bit biased saying this because I'm only giving my account, but I got up past the Furutaka to the Aoba, felt the difference between the two, went back and rebought the Furutaka so I could play some games I could have fun in. It's not the almighty Tier V cruiser to end all Tier V cruisers, but when in comparison to the Omaha, Emerald, and Konigsberg (the only other ones I've played up to and haven't paid for) the Fu-Ta is pretty much the Tech tree hulk of the game that will smash all other cruisers that aren't pay to wins. It's just a shame that prior tiers train people to fling shots at will and go for the torps, so all Tier V cruisers get bad raps.
Besides the obviously overpowered picks, I’d wager T5 ranked is going to revolve entirely around DDs chucking torpedoes everywhere and praying your friendly cruisers don’t explode first. A quick aside for the US DDs though is that they’re good seal stompers, since the guns aren’t tragic prior to T8 and the short range torps aren’t much of a liability when everyone else’s torps are also shit.
And you get an absolute shitload of torps.
I dont get the furutaka love. Ive never had any trouble sinking it and ive only died once in a DD to it. It just loves to explode to any hits.

The Omaha has incredible detection radius.
Maestrale absolutely needs to be moved up to at least B tier if not even A tier. there's a reason WG just nerfed it. it's probably the strongest DD of that entire line. It smashes almost all other DD's of the tier, and if you have somebody to spot for you you can even use smoke and do it for almost zero cost.
How to get my ship premium?
A good Lolmaha div is legit the funnest thing ever. S tier.
I'm not sure those T5 US BBs are worse than Kirov and Murmansk (edit: t5 cruisers generally) when you can position center, delete them, and take so much more damage. They're not great for sure. Screwing up positioning means you're out of the game.
As someone who just ranked out with the hill with a 93% WR, I think it AT LEAST deserves B tier. That thing b*tch slaps every DD that isn't an Ohoktnik, and even gives that a run for its money. Not to mention, when a Nicholas is angling, it can only use 3 of its guns without going full broadside, The Hill can use 4 of its 5 guns effectively. Not to mention, It has better angles when kiting away as well.

T22 has no dpm, the hp pool is shyte and the concealment is meh. So it makes you super team depended and that is just a big nono in ranked.

Yes. Nicholas is league better then Hill for few major reasons. First of all, that additional gun on Hill has really bad angle. You need sail broadside to even use it. Then reload is 0.8 worst on Hill. Additionally Nicholas has godlike torp angles. Not to mention you got 4x3 not 3x3 torp tubes. And finally 5.8 concealment vs 6.4.

I can't hit anything with Okt/Rev. guns no matter how much I try and shooting angles are awful, but Pyotr Vlky is excellent and tanky... so I guess I disagree here

Fujin/Kamikaze R is the un-nerfed version of the minekaze. The Kamikaze itself is actually worse then the Fujin and Kaze R....Fujin/Kamikaze R: 5.4K range, 71 Knot torps...

Acasta is really bad otherwise, though. It doesnt have speed, it doesnt have useful torps, it doesnt have reload, it doesnt have the punsh and it doesnt have concealment. I just recently regrinded the RN dd line and that thing felt like you always have to push it over 100% to just be somewhat playable . On of my few "lets free xp" ships.
And Maestrale is on of the strongest dd in a tier-5-only-envriroment. You literally shit on every t5 dd with that sap (one salvo with rng = 50% hp of any t5dd) and on tier 5 + 6 the kill-and-get-dark concept actually works really, really well. And it is fast-ish and it can yolo BBs. For a good dd player this thing is easy and A if not an S tier. I mean WeGe felt the need to nerf the 5-7 on the reload just one patch ago-that should tell you something.

Thing about Omaha and the German one with the weird offset rear turrets...... is that you need to know how to survive in them, before anything else.

Not sure about Murmansk in C, let alone B 😆... It is still an Omaha hull and explodes when anything looks at it. It has noticeably worse DPM than Omaha, with the trade off being better torps and much better AP (compared to the Omaha). Still trash 😂
I would rank the Siroco higher, i absolute smack in this thing. Got ah 95% Win rate. In this thing i fear no other DD. It has MBRB and the french damage saturation. In my mind easy A tier.

I will take a NY over a Derfflinger any day of the week. Not sure what all the U.S. BB hate is about. But they're not THAT bad. Certainly not ALL D grade. If you go in thinking and planning ahead you can be pretty brutal with them. You just can't make stupid mistakes with them. Because they're definitely an unforgiving set of ships lol.
*DKM T-22 is the best Destroyer at Tier V! She is DKM T-61 little cousin! No other Destroyer at Tier V can win 1v1 clutch with her! The best Cap-contester on her Tier! Not to mention what she can do to Aircraft Squadrons!!*
*SMS Derfflinger is the most accurate Battlecruiser on Tier V!! It's OP - Soviet level of Sigma and dispersion!! It's also very fast and responsible!!*
