2020 Nissan Almera Turbo VLT Review in Malaysia, Will You Go For 1.0L 3-Cylinder Turbo? | WapCar

  • The 2020 Nissan Almera Turbo is Nissan's answer to the latest Honda City and Toyota Vios.
    It's finally a worthy opponent to the other two Japanese class rivals as the previous-generation Almera was only banking on its low price and spacious interior to win the hearts of potential buyers.
    In this all-new Almera, ETCM has packed all the latest and greatest technology into this B-segment sedan. You'll find features such as AEB and FCW, turbocharged engine, LCD instrument cluster, semi-bucket sport seats, and more.
    However, with a starting price of RM 79k - which is around RM 5,000 pricier than the City and Vios - is the Almera still a good buy? Watch till the end and see what Adrian has to say.

    That Almera interior is nice. The only thing I wish the US version (Versa) got was those nice leather looking seats with the fold down armrest in the back. And you guys would have probably liked the 122Hp (90kw/123ps) version 1.6 engine we have here. Our version here in the US does have android auto.

      The Turbo engine is very torque at the low end so in city urban areas the 1.0 turbo is nice, the 1.6 would be better at the top end

    Hi Adrian, thanks for the official reviewed. Ultimately, I personally think that you have done a specific review on the Nisaan Almera turbo.
    What you have mentioned, that this car is fully & well equipped with safety factors like the autonomous braking throughout all the variants. I'm convinced & surprised by the Edaran Tan Chong's team for designing & equipped the safety factors to be top in the list among it's rivals. Definitely, this features will be the top selling point for the newly launched Nissan Almera 1.0 L turbo. Well, let's not to be too long winded, Adrian you have manifested in this review that you are fit to be the wapcar reviewer. Then.... I'm not surprised that you have carried your responsibilities & duties throughout the whole car reviewed by you. Thumbs 🆙 Adrian, well done 😆😇💯💯

    This Almera is miles ahead in the styling compare to previous bubble style. Interior is nice too. Any news on the new Sentra? Heard Thailand side already ceased production for it. The new Sentra is another wonderfully improved product from Nissan.
    Finally. This is a very detail review. Thank you for it. A job well done.

      I watched Careta's video of the Almera the other day, and they said there is Android Auto, so I searched the other day and it says u can get Android Auto by downloading an APK or something to unlock it in the head unit. Kinda weird la.

      @obidean3964 Před 3 lety

      Even if it's not yet official, they should make it included in the head unit because the Android Auto apk for phone can be downloaded externally unlike iPhone, should works like other cars that have it.

      The real reason after talking to people in TC HQ is that it's because the head unit comes directly from Japan, which is the same one used in Thailand thus they do not have the authority to change the head unit's firmware/software

But one thing I love is the seat rail position because my legs aren't cramped when driving unlike in a vw polo sedan and even a Toyota fortuner with the seats all the way back.

So basically, more frequent visits to the service centre. I would prefer a normal engine with 10k km service intervals because I'm a daily driver. Think about it guys.

      Only standard variant have 2 airbags. But what's the point of having so many airbag if most of Malaysian didn't even know how to use seat belt & signal.

      @nashrulaqil4365 Před 3 lety

      @syazh1 i know & I'm okay with it having 2 air bag (of course better if more). I just want to say that to people that always complaining about this affordable car having 2 air bag but they didn't even use their seat belt. There is still many people out there that doesn't using seat belt and drive like crazy but complain about 2 airbag car. They doesn't care about safety but they complain.
