Would you ever interview someone from South Asian roots that has grown up in the white working class ends and experienced racism from the playground to the boardroom? I see a lack of representation from our types as every apna comes from areas of deprivation that are heavily populated with our own race. Some of us grew up in areas that were deprived but dominant in white working class families, which brought with it double the issues. A bit of balance would be great as for us. We didn't sound like the other apnay when we spoke so our own community shunned us but because we weren't the same colour as those we lived with so we were racially abused. Even at school by our teachers. I was one of those people and for a while I went to a private school but there was nothing posh or bubble wrapped about my life outside it. I ended up leaving school early with no qualifications as a result of the racism I suffered in my teens and once got beaten up at the school gates at the age of 14 by a grown man just for being on the three Asians in the school. Fast forward 28 years and I now run a number of companies in the educational industry. Racism still exists and I see it at this level all the time, so much so that our community lock themselves out from society by building their own mini-economies to the detriment of their kids. Thankful for my roots, I can still handle issues on road if ever needed but Alhamduliah, these are lesser in frequency these days. Happy to have a chat and share experiences. Sometimes the non-Insta fame can offer inspiration too.

Much respect to this brother and his business acumen and hard work but he kind of needs to relax with the whole mindset that he has invented something here or created a miracle product. He runs a restaurant which a lot of people have said the food is mediocre at best and only recently has he added the shisha lounge to entice customers to end their night in his establishment which is a smart.

He ain’t taking to no solicitor//judges/doctors. They bought a pub. Naturally it’s haram bro. It doesn’t matter what he says it’s haram from the get go.
It WAS a pub before they turned it into a food place . Listen to yourself trying to gather something to accuse the brother of a sin.
Like the comment at the top suggested, it WAS a pub. They even served alcohol, but then Alhumdulilah they have been an alcohol free restaurant for many years now.
Allah swt guides those that are sincere and look for that guidance.
