I live 1.5 miles east of Detroit Metro (DTW). A couple years ago on a beautiful summer day Air Force One took off from there. I was watching it live on the noon news. I heard a plane heading towards the house, rushed out the back door to watch AF1 fly right over my backyard at a surprisingly low altitude. It gave me a lump in my throat. What I remember most is how clean that plane is. I mean spotless!! It really represents us all as a country regardless of your politics. Great video SPIDERZ!
It is so great to see all of these happier times when Our President Obama coming and going on Air Force One and everybody smiling and so happy to see him.
Albany is a liberal city compared to the rest of our state. I personally didn't mind Obama, but I don't think Trump is doing that bad now. He has accomplished quite a lot; much more than I thought he would be able to get done!
@3paynes Honestly I was too! The thing was, they didn't let us park anywhere near where we were standing. We could park elsewhere, and walk over. They didn't let any car that close. And the secret service and cops had their hands on the gun the entire time, fully ready! But hey, it was really cool that they let us do that. One thing I like about this airport is that there are a few observation areas, and I was standoing at 2 of them for the take off and landing. Love this airport!
Cool joe. I got a picture of it sitting on the tarmac next to the terminal after I saw Obama in the motorcade. I've seen 747s before, but obviously this one is different.
I love the sound!!! Not surprisingly, it's not even that loud. I guess because this plane is so well maintained, it runs new. That FedEx Boeing 727 you may see at 6:02 is WAY louder, and flys over my house every night! haha
Hey, That was completely uncalled for. I disagree with all of Obama's policies too. I voted for McCain because of me knewing this downward spiral was going to happen. But the main reason I, and many other people were here were to just see the plane, the plane that symbolizes the strength of the US, and the size of the plane itself. The biggest aircraft this airport handels regularly are wimpy 757s. DON"T ASSUME!
I was so mad, i was in school but i knew what time it departed so around that time i kept looking out the window but i didn't see anything, but i did see the c-17 later that day after school.
@hayesj23 Dude, if you live near Albany, It is a thrill to see a plane of this size come into this airport. This airport only regularly handels 757s, but are seldom even seen because they come in at 6a, and leave at 9p. In which case, you too would be thrilled to see this plane come into this airport.
Stay were? Where I was for the takeoff? I think it is because Sicker Road is a designated place for plane spotting, and Shaker Road isn't. They probably didn't want anyone getting hurt in the traffic. On Troy-schenectady, were I was for the landing, you can hear the cop telling the cars "go! Go! Go!" because they were stopped and they wanted traffic to be moving. You can hear him yelling starting at 2:04 . You should post your vid up!
@ThatGuyKray the C-5 galaxy has made a few visits to this airport already, including before and after the arrival of AF1, for the motorcade. It flew over my house. I love the sound of them!
U can tell that those aren't regular 747 engines just by the sound. Those engines are tremendously powerful. Notice AF1 needs allot less runway to takeoff then a normal 747.
@OlderG0ds Really? This airport can easily handle a plane like this. In fact, this plane needs less runway to take off than some of the other planes this airport uses. This airport can handle pretty much anything except the An-225. Don't ask me why though. I only cared to see the plane, which was amazingly HUGE!
@IloveSPIDERZ Yea I mean I know it can handle big planes but I never see them. I always have to take small jets to other airports for long trips from Albany International. Looks like AF1 was just turning around though
The smoke is not from the brakes, it's from the starting from zero to the speed of the plane of the wheels at touchdown. President Obama is the President of the United States please show some respect for both him and the office. Much thanks.
Did you even bother to view the video and hear the comment the woman made about the smoke upon touchdown of the plane? No? Do so FIRST and then comment, wow, people today...
Captain Nice "President Obama is the President of the United States please show some respect for both him and the office. Much thanks." Who wasn't showing respect to Prez Obummer?
Ah, lets see...that would be people like yourself. However, you know what the great thing is??? President Obama will go down as one of the nation' s greatest presidents, YOU however, will just go away...
Yeah, it's not too bad. The taxiway and the runway is well spaced and wide enough to accomodate these easily. The runway is 8,500 feet, so it's not too short! It's not like Saint Martin, where their runway is only like 7,000 feet long. haha Thank you for watching!
@OlderG0ds Actually, Obama when to speek and Hudson Valley CC, and two hours later, he left with the plane. In the meantime, the plane refuled, and made a trip to JFK for an interveiw or something. And your right! Which is why I disagree with the fact on how they labeled it an international Aiport when it has one 4 hour car route to Canada. But it handels alot of international diversions from Newark, because that airport is completely rediculously busy.
@PlatinumRomance oh, the cops were telling them to keep driving, because they were holding up traffic. listne closely in the video as the plane is close, you here the cop yelling "GO! GO! GO!"
@IloveSPIDERZ damn thats gay. id pay a million bucks for that:P one of my mates aunt lives near an airport and she is always complaining about the noise when planes comes to land and i was like WTF MANNNN! ITS AWESOME. U PEOPLE DONT MAKE SENSE!
+roger8654 I was there just for the shear fact that a 747 was at the airport. The largest plane that regularly arrives here are 757s from UPS and FedEx, which imho aren't as impressive. I couldn't care less about the guy in the plane, trust me. lol

very nice video, not everyone gets to see airforce1 and be able to be that close to such raw power and greatness. the plane that is.
It is so great to see all of these happier times when Our President Obama coming and going on Air Force One and everybody smiling and so happy to see him.
richard crooks Amen to that and I wish that he was still the president
Obama sucked and ruined our economy
Albany is a liberal city compared to the rest of our state. I personally didn't mind Obama, but I don't think Trump is doing that bad now. He has accomplished quite a lot; much more than I thought he would be able to get done!
IloveSPIDERZ What are your thoughts at this time?
Exactly!! Well said, Brilliant! Thanks!! And you're right, it is probably the only 747-200 that is in new condition to this day!!
simply awesome.
THE SOUND IS ADDICTIVE
@3paynes Honestly I was too! The thing was, they didn't let us park anywhere near where we were standing. We could park elsewhere, and walk over. They didn't let any car that close. that was awesome! Still amazed how such a big chunk of metal can FLY!!! Loved that landing!!!!!
Cool joe. I got a picture of it sitting on the tarmac next to the terminal after I saw Obama in the motorcade. I've seen 747s before, but obviously this one is different.
Awesome Video. What an amazing Plane.
Great shot and beatifull bird.
that was amazing, 5/5 for sure. Looked like they made a slow ascent, barely climbing off of rotation.
Thanks

that video was amazing great job
I was so mad, i was in school but i knew what time it departed so around that time i kept looking out the window but i didn't see anything, but i did see the c-17 later that day after school.
haha Mostly animals. Aircraft is more of a fascination/hobby. Surprisingly, it wasn't that loud! Thanks for watcing the vid!
Joe
Nice Video! Thx.
A hope that nobody must live in this (blue) house there within the flight path ;-)

@Tilan123 I know right! I guess not many people share our enthusiasm on these aweseome peices of technology.
Thanks!
yeah, I gotta say, I was never more fortunate this year to see this! Thanks for the compliment!
@IloveSPIDERZ its a beautiful plane and even cooler video :)
Thanks! I really tried to rush all over finding out which runway it would use.
amazing airplane! they should put winglets on it to increase it's fuel efficiency :D
Yeah, it took off on rnway 19 at exactly 12:48. The plane you saw later wasn't a C-17, but the C-5. The C-5 is much larger than Air Force One.
It was! Did you see how fast that thing took off?! It was like, 757 takeoffs!
Very huge plane
One of the best shots and I have sen many.
What was that plane afterwards who was it representing? It looked like a DC-10 to me but it only did a fly by. Cool video btw!
U can tell that those aren't regular 747 engines just by the sound. Those engines are tremendously powerful. Notice AF1 needs allot less runway to takeoff then a normal 747.

Captain Nice LOL I love starting off my day with a good laugh.

Good deal 🤗🤗🤗
@OlderG0ds Actually, Obama when to speek and Hudson Valley CC, and two hours later, he left with the plane. In the meantime, the plane refuled, and made a trip to JFK for an interveiw or something. Actually, word is going out that they are going to replace these with the newer 747-8.
MAN I WONNA LIVE IN THAT HOUSE @2:10!
np!
@svscared I believe that is a KC-135, a refueling tanker. Typically doing touch and go's for flight hours for the pilots.
just so you know, Albany international airport only does touch and goes with the C-130s and MD11 tankers from Schenectady airbase
@montesbugsalive I know right?! And yeah, I loved the landing AND the takeoff! Thanks for watching!
Did those secret service vehicles really think they were going to keep pace with a 747 on it's takeoff roll?
Yeah, I think they just wanted to have fun. Lol
Yeah, I know it! Thanks! Yeah, it barely climbed because (I think) of the fact that it was heading to JFK. So it didn't go too high. Thanks again!
@PlatinumRomance oh, the cops were telling them to keep driving, because they were holding up traffic. listne closely in the video as the plane is close, you here the cop yelling "GO! GO! GO!"
wow i wish i had been there
@danielkang1234 The arrival date and time was on the news ahead of time.
@hayesj23 And the majority of planes this airport handles are propeller aircraft.
Thanks VincE! Yeah, I got a few pics also! It made the airport smaller. haha
It really is! Thanks for watching!
this is what air force one and the VP's plane were doing here in my neck of the words yesterday at the small airport in front of my house
Air Force One was here? what the fuck for lol
surprise that damn airport can even handle that big plane
@sohcsarewicked It sure is!!! :) And Thank you!
That's a small airport amazing
It can easily handle wide-body aircraft, but almost never does! Kindof anticlimactic in my opinion.
I know it! I really lucked out that I had this day off anyway!
6:17 wait for me wait for me
No prob! Thank you for watching!
np :)
Were those cars trying to pull it over? :D
@JusFineN09 I know it! haha We were all laughing!
ITS FLYING!
+Zachlovesgaming It's Flying!!!! Look at that!! lol
haha At least watch 3:40 ! Thanks though! And yeah, it landed, then 2 hours later, it took off. haha
I'm surprised they let folks get that close...
@ThatGuyKray oh stop! I enjoyed listening to them. Its pretty funny!
What the hell is in Albany that the president has to fly in for?
@Tilan123 I do too, but the airport bought it :(
@zuperstar Wow, I didn't even notice that one! haha I do know that it is aboandoned though.
was the chopper there for air security? see any migs in the air or anything?
@michaeld5 These days a lot of people haven't. I've only seen 3 in my whole life and I live near a major airport.
@pengee0419 Haha that's what I was wondering!
November,2022
*knowing
@MrDtown15 Of course. Darquan here (LOL) thinks hating any (half) black person is simply because of his race.
What an intellectual giant.
hahahaha Thanks!
Dear Santa...
@peffer76 what airport?
i went to that airport
+Kaschia Lainez Me too!
@IloveSPIDERZ damn thats gay. id pay a million bucks for that:P
one of my mates aunt lives near an airport and she is always complaining about the noise when planes comes to land and i was like WTF MANNNN! ITS AWESOME. U PEOPLE DONT MAKE SENSE!
@sohcsarewicked Lets not start a political war on a vid that is just supposed to be about the plane.
1:28 thats what she said
american:thats huge
russian:ITS RUSSIAN
Barack Obama 😊
Русский?
I have seen video where people film planes and security guardds, homeland security, FBI, police show up and treat the people filming like terrorist.
+Marty Lynchian Yeah, they do, but they also have to be safe, and they usually are.
you guys act like its bigger than any other 747 created
This is Albany though. We get 752's as our biggest scheduled plane. So this was a HUGE deal
Adisuryowijoyo haja rabu8

LMAO @ clapping
It's a guy in a plane
+roger8654 I was there just for the shear fact that a 747 was at the airport. The largest plane that regularly arrives here are 757s from UPS and FedEx, which imho aren't as impressive. I couldn't care less about the guy in the plane, trust me. lol
I'm a native from Albany and I live less than a minute from this airport and I have seen a RARE sight of a 767 american airlines
@@flywithhuddy Hudson, he said the largest plane that regularly flies to ALB😂
People act like they've never seen a 747 before.
michaeld5 Maybe some of them haven't seen one of that magnitude
It was a big deal at Albany. Because the biggest planes we regularly get are 752's
Maybe some haven't seen one
@678999821 maybe if you had to deal with all the crap he does you wouold take a few more too
Thanks!
