I love this movie so much! I went to the movie in the cinema but it was like a few months after it was released. I wanted to see the movie again so badly, I drove 2 hours to watch it in another cinema (because that was the only place where we could watch it in the cinema). Today, Christmas Day, I finally bought this movie on CZcams and it was the best movie to watch on Christmas Day, actually to watch on any day. I love it. I love it. I love it.
I love these biography movies, so fun to get to know the story of these talented people we know and love the songs and performances of. I love getting little snippets behind the curtains like this.
I rented this video today. It works to stream it, but the subtitle doesn't work. I've checked all the settings, but now it seems the video doesn't have subtitles. Just look at what they say about subtitle settings: «Note: if the video does not offer captions, the button will still be visible but you will not be able to click on it.» That is exactly what the problem is. It is strange that you can rent a movie without any subtitles. I am Norwegian, but understand English usable, but have trouble understanding what they say because they speak too fast and unclear. If I had received the text in English, it would have been fine. I don't think this movie gets Oscar for sound either. When they speak, the sound is low, but when the music begins, the sound becomes very loud. This is simply not good enough. I am not happy. Wasted money!
Very impressed with All the acting! And I KNOW it's not a documentary, but Elton says he took the name "John" from Long John Baldry, who, like the first band Bluesology, doesnt feature, as such. For me, not enough reference to Captain Fantastic, which is THE autobiographical album! Nothing of his attempted suicide, after breaking up with his Sugar Bear Princess, perched in her electic chair. (Someone Saved My Life Tonight) or Bernie being the Brown Dirt Cowboy! "Roy Rogers" could surely have been inserted after the cafe scene, to emphasise Taupin's love of the old west, couldn't it? I'm a lover of hearing the recorded music, and, much as I applaud Taron's excellent acting, I'd have preferred to hear Elton's own voice to Taran's valiant efforts at replicating it. I only went twice to concerts, I'd love to have seen more, but I'm not a fan of the more 'poppy' singles, which Elron always had to play. I much prefer deeper album tracks, such as Greatest Discovery. (I WAS, therefore, delighted to hear Amoreena!) More tracks from early works, Madman, Elton John, Tumbleweed, Empty Sky etc; could have added another fifteen minutes, or replaced the copy of the Still Standing video I've never liked. Ok, Don't Shoot Me, it's only MY opinion!😅

How did it do that? Making films about artists lives isn't all that uncommon you know.. And "Bohemian Rapsody" CERTAINLY isn't the first film to do so! I mean, based on your logic, "Bohemian Rapsody" copied "Ray" which was released in 2004.
