- eevee's is back already to bring you a first impressions review of the Begode Tesla T4 electric unicycle this time with Monocat Kate and Jack from Electric Dreams. We cram a lot into this 30 minute video so sit back and enjoy our thoughts on the fun-sized Begode T4 EUC.
Pre-Order the Begode T4 here: eevees.com/collections/eucs-e... - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Note: Discussions with Adam (Wrong Way) are still ongoing and nothing has been set in stone yet in terms of working with eevee’s. We hope to have more news on this later. :)
Daaanng… Vancouver is becoming the epicenter of EUC’s thanks to eevees.
No one on the internet has sat and riden this. Who's gonna be the first?
Will there be any videos for the mten4? If you think it’s a good starter wheel, I think I’m gonna go for it.
@@Zoraffi we’re going to briefly talk about it in another Wheel Talk episode this week but we’ll be getting ours in early September. We’ll review it while we’re on the road and will host demos with both the T4 and Mten4 in Austin, San Diego, LA, and Vancouver.
@@eevees I hope you bring one to Portland like you did with the S20... that was a lot of fun and a pleasant surprise when I showed up to that FNR.
Thanks guys (and girl) for this first ride and close up look at the amazing T4. I look forward to future content and reviews on this lil' guy and his big BIG brother, The Master Pro.
First and foremost those jerseys are are spectacular! Congratulations on the upcoming website, love that Eevee’s is working to enhance to EUC community every step of the way. The T4 does look like a blast. Glad to hear the suspension is moving in the right direction as well. It also looks the more like a traditional unicycle than any other wheel. I hope the production version has spiked pedals, I’m very happy spiked pedals are becoming standard equipment. I like that stock pads are evolving.
V1 Sherman pedal dip is awesome.
I've heard it is supposed to have stock spiked pedals
@@greenwave819 really?! I hope so. Who did you hear this from?
Awesome! So cool to have all of you together. Looking forward to seeing more of all of you in future vids.
Excellent video … the t4 looks like it will be a great wheel !! You guys have a great team
More than any other wheel this year, this is groundbreaking! I want this wheel, and if it wasn’t a Gotway I would buy it tomorrow. Have been waiting so long for 16” suspension, so I hope all the other companies throw their hats in this ring. Would swap my S18 for this. Also awesome to see Kate!!
What's wrong with gotway as a brand? I don't understand why people keep talking like this about them. Probably youtubers and the media helped it to happen like so? Don't know. The S20 burnt in NYC and I don't hear anything about it. Simple changing the number was enough. I begun with inmotion and ninebot, and as my 3rd wheel I got the 1600wh MSX. Never ever went back to other brand. Nowadays I ride dayly my exn, and am thinking about getting one with suspension, since my age and knees are begging for something smoother. In my country the streets aren't much sweet. And what I am trying to decide is between the Master and the T4. I love the Master. But the fact that if a battery for any reason stops working the whole wheel stops too, makes me want to go to the T4. That's the only thing making me wonder about what to do. Not the brand, for sure. It's a never ending wheel, for sure. Even if you beat on it for too long....
Great review . Thanks 🙏🏽. Finally a 16´´ suspension wheel, and not a 53 kg piece of rock ! Nice job. After my S18 , it could be mine. ( S22 has too much issues )
Makers need to understand that those machine was successful first because of their small volume, lightweight for easy transportation, especially in cities and NOT in general to ride fast as a motorcycle.
Look forward to see the range test .
Awesome review guys and love the look of the T4, great to see monokat too!
Thanks for the very helpful review. I have a t2 which I love and I ordered this hoping it would be like a t2 or t3 but with more power and with suspension. Too bad it is not stable at high speed but I don’t ride fast anyway and wanted the higher speed primarily as a cushion.
Totally agree with the 16X comparison. 100% spot on
Thanks for the fast upload!
You’re very welcome! We try to get new wheels as fast as we can.
Great video, super fun looking wheel! Cool seeing Monocat working with you guys. Hopefully you can get Adam WrongWay as well. That is the kinda all-star power that wins championships!
hahah i must admit im fan boying out right now. I bought my first wheel 4 days ago from Eevee's then was looking up gear reviews and came across Monocat's channel. Now that i recall i think Kate was the one that helped me set up my wheel in the end!
I can totally see why people have multiple wheels! I’ll try to stop by tomorrow to see it in person. Welcome Monocat Kate! :)
Really great! And awfully excited that Kate & Adam are there, Kate was super. But a question kept coming up to me - ankles, against suspension rod and battery casings? No cushioning? How's that feel?
Cheers! Hmm, never noticed that. My ankles don’t touch anything so it seems to be ok.
How would you guys say the T4 compares to the V11 suspension and power wise? I'm curious about the difference in suspension feel.
Welcome Kate! I’d love to hear what she thinks about riding in Vancouver.
I also have my stock s22 pads set tight on the toes I like it, the curvature of the pads are perfect I use alpine stars mesh 3s fits like a glove
I like the fact that it looks a lot like the master to good looking little wheel.
This wheel is perfect for the regular Joe. T4 is a variation of the Master. Its known to be not very durable when you crash it. You might need to upgrade the shell to make it more durable. Eevee's boi are on the roll.
this wheel... not even out yet... already known for how people crash it? tell us more about how working at the begode factory is.
Nice spot behind playland, very cool. Maybe we’ll see you out there one time. ⚡️
How do you guys think this wheel will do on group rides with Shermans or Masters. Will it keep up or no at speeds?
So glad that Kate and Adam are leaving Europe for this winter! Things arent looking good (even of Poland seem more prepared than most)!
16 inch wheels aren't meant for really high speed. I love the nimbleness though!
Thanks for the video 🙂
Hey, guys, thanks for the review. Is it any comfortable to sit on this tiny thing?
This wheel looks awesome
Sands aside, I noticed that the T4 had a street tire. That probably also make you feel less confident on the pump track. Looking forward to some more refined alternatives from KS or Inmotion
We need 16 inch suspension wheel.... I wish inmotion would make em, idea for a v14...
I'm not a begode fan...
how does the t4 compare to the v12? I was looking into getting the v12 ht but want to know more about the t4 before I make a decision. any thoughts?
Is this a big jump wheel? Would love to replace my RS with a suspension wheel with the same torque. What do you think?
I’m really on the fence about getting this or the V13 even though they are such different form factor, size, price, and build quality.
Do what I'm doing. Get the Mten4 and V13. Upgrading my mten3 and v10f
Fantastic video. Thank You For Sharing. Have a Nice Day!❤👍
Welcome Kate!
I've been hoping someone would come out with a good 16 inch suspension wheel. I have a V12(still waiting for replacement board). Therefore still riding my Tesla V2 most of the time and love the way it handles. You said it feels like a suspended V3 which really gets me excited! How much will it be selling for?
This is why you should always start with smaller and less powerful wheels and keep them, every wheel offers something. People are obsessed with range, speed and now suspension but learning too ride different sized wheels and without suspension is invaluable, time spent riding on smaller wheels and at lower speeds really teaches you how to manage speed wobbles, as well as the limits of every wheel. If you cannot detect a speed wobble in the first few hundreds of a second on a larger, heavier wheel at speed you will likely enter a speed wobble you cannot recovery from.
Im still on a Ninebot A one for more than two years. Done about 3000km. I love to get a bigger wheel. I dont know if I go for suspension or without suspension. I dont have any idea how suspension will feel. I some time think I dont wanna get on suspension at all. So im thinking of Sherman max. Can you advice me on what should do. Thank you.
@@rameshsilva6110 I used to have a kingsong 14d until about 9 months ago when I got the kingsong s18. I gotta say I absolutely love it. It's really light for an 18" and the suspension is amazing. The one thing I don't like is that it has a tiny battery and low top speed. 31 mph is good for plenty fast, but hearing the beeps anytime I wanna go faster can get annoying
Would the t4 be more stable on high speeds with a knobby?
I ride a Nikola AR+, and this basically seems like a Nikola + with suspension. Which is more or less the exact wheel I've been hoping for. Pedals could maybe be a little higher for off road I suppose (would be nice to have adjustable height) but overall this thing is siiiiiick.
Any word on when the full range test will happen?
Can you please post how to update firmware procedure for T4? Many people having issues updating firmware on this wheel.
Do you think small 14 - 15 inch wheels will ever come with suspension? I love the form factor and light weight of small wheels
I’m not sure but I think it’s possible
Does it have more torque then the inmotion v11?
Uggghhnn I don't need another wheel! The T4 looks like a winner. Begode coming out with some fun stuff! Speaking of fun stuff, love the jerseys =D
Love the T4 ❤️
Is there any pedal dip?
5:10. Thats actually scary. You can call it "tremor". I got MSX 100v, modded with bigger battery. So, it had this thing (tremor) pop up everytime on most bumps, on "hard" and "medium" pedals. So it was basically impossible to ride, i was using soft mode all the time.
To fix this, i had to reprogramm the controller of this thing. So what i think is...IT SHOULD NOT HAPPEN. They need to update its controller or something.
That looks just like what the 16x used to do on the early firmware. Luckily, new firmware was all that was needed to fix it.
Good review and discussion!
lets get some eskaters into the euc world with this wheel 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Most definitely ESK8UNITY.
I started out escooting. And then electric Skateboards. Ebikes. And now EUCs. Been riding EUCs for a year now. Love it. As I do with all my PEVs. Umm. EUCs is my Favourite
Sounds like a great first wheel.
Gostaria de saber, qual é a velocidade máxima que pode se alcançar?
I would love to hear what y'all think about how it compares to the S18, given the similar characteristics, and closeness to priceeof the Molicel version.
We’ll be getting our Molicel S18s in soon so we’ll do a comparison once we get them.
Amazing news!🤩
Is this a good wheel if Im 95kg?
Would be awesome to see Poland team on Eevee's! Europe lost this one.
The wheel seems super fun and extremely sketchy :)
Just bought the Master, not arrived yet :-) Interesting to see you work with Adam, talk about Birds of a Feather, I expect to see all your wheels equipped with Nylonove Footplates :-)
I love my Tesla T3 and my RS HS and I've been wanting/needing suspension, and I've been totally hesitated to get one because none of them seem to really grab me for some reason. But the T4 seams almost perfect not to big and heavy. Not too overly complicated suspension and obviously cushy. And those specs are attention grabbing indeed. Whats that price gonna be is my question? Thats gonna be the only make or break for me I think.
It’s $2999 CAD: eevees.com/collections/eucs-electric-unicycles-vancouver/products/begode-tesla-t4
25:40 Looks like a comparison between jets. F22 and the F35 together
How much psi must have my tire? , im 85kg guy
In the 1950's, Chevrolet was going through new engines designs every couple of years, then came the small block V8. That engine design is still in production over 60 years later. The T4 may have a similar trajectory. There will be tweaks here and there, but eventually there will be used T4 buyers guides with differences in batches and serial numbers. WE will know it has arrived when Jay Leno puts one in his collection.
Is this a wheel you could cruise around at 35 mph on? It'd be cool to get a little faster wheel than my S18.
You would be cruising pretty close to the limit if you’re below 50-60% battery but it’s possible.
Damm man I have T3 and V12 HT and now I really want T4 :D. I bought V12 HT because it's build quality, but now I really want T4, because the powe and nimbleness of T3 is just awesome, T3 with more power, speed and suspension is my dream wheel :D
BTW put some pads on that V12 HT, mine is horribel without pads :).
Pretty sure the T4 v2 will be my first wheel.
I want a comparison of T4 and S22. Interesting difference in braking and acceleration speed and so on
Kinda bummed it's gets a lil sketchy around 30mph. I was hoping it would be stable around low 30's Awesome review guys, thanks
Looks like it got better after the firmware update
@@AustinBachman That's what I thought too, but they both said at the end around 30mph it gets sketchy still, so I hope it's just the firmware. But if can be comfy between 30-35mph I would definitely buy this wheel right away
I think it can be fixed with a firmware update because the sketchiness seems to come the motor shaking a bit. The firmware update we did during the ride helped a ton but still isn’t fine tuned yet.
@@eevees Thank you very much!
T4 yes pleaseeee 👍
how would you compare it with the v11?
I like how the T4 rides a lot more than the V11.. but I’ve never been a fan of the V11 but part of that is the tire.
Which is more nimble: the Tesla v2 or the begode t4?
Hmm, that’s a tough one. Maybe about the same? Since the T4 is higher off the ground, it feels more nimble and you can get more lean without the pedals scraping.
@@eevees perfect! Thanks!
So which one has more torque t4 or v12ht?
Hmmm, we might need to test this in a new video but I’m going to guess V12 HT.
What is the weight limit of the sign I love this night it looks awesome I was watching another guys channel called wrong way and that guy looks so agile and in one of his videos he was talking about using it for Halloween and the first thing that popped in my head with ducktails gizmo duck that would be an awesome costume for him for that
This sounds like a good beginner wheel. Any opinions?
any wheel sub 70 lbs is good bigger wheel. Its the weight of an EUC that really gives beginners a hard time
dude, has everyone moved to Vancouver now?
Begode T4 in traffic?
I’m wondering if T4 would be a good commuter wheel in 30mph street traffic (Chicago). Obviously it can’t maintain this speed for long with an 1800Wh battery, maybe start and stop traffic for 10 miles??
I’d rather have the smaller T4 than the Master if it could do these short commuting trips in traffic. I've currently got a deposit down for Master but am considering switching over to T4 if it could handle this, unless Master is far more worth it for $800 more.
I would say it would be perfect for this. The more I ride, the easier it is to maintain 30mph speeds
@@eevees thanks for the reply! I am wondering how it compares to the Nikola+ 100v; some on Facebook group are saying it is far more sluggish and slower than Nikola with the same battery size and voltage.
Wo zum Teufel bin ich 😂
You will find your way Adam, you always do... 🤣
Ja der war gut :)
You'll love Canada Adam and we'll welcome you with open arms. 😀
Bald wirst du herausfinden, dass du in der Hölle bist. Kümmere dich um deine Backstage.
Personally I would prefer a convulsive warning than a sharp tilt back.
Its a good step forward but Tesla T2 was 40lbs so this thing gained almost 30 pounds on top of that, so it has an extra Inmotion V8 worth of weight. We we really need to aim for 50 pounds for a suspension 16 inch.
I'm really looking forward to the range test. For the life of me I can't figure out why Begode Wheels with higher watt hour capacity still can't match the range of Kingsong wheels with less WH batteries. The 18 XL and 16x have 1554 watt hour batteries and consistently get over 60 miles on a charge. I really hope this wheel can get somewhere close to that. If so, I'm definitely buying it.
KS allows the batteries to go down to a lower voltage that's why.
@@Mpower31 there's obviously no negative reason for not doing that. Why wouldn't they, in the interest of more range, do the same thing?
@@sammysokosammysoko Dunno
@@sammysokosammysoko Couple reasons I can think of for that.
Main reason probably has everything to do with the BMS top balancing. Repeatedly discharging to very low states of charge makes it easier for individual cells within each parallel group to drift apart. Because most (all?) Begode BMS rely upon the top balancing method, this does not allow a lot of time to "heal" cell voltage drift in each battery pack unless people make it a habit to leave their wheel on the charger for long periods of time after it's already charged for balancing. Less drift = less time needed for balancing with this not ideal balancing method.
Other reason is to reduce long term battery capacity degradation over cycle life. Most people already know lithium ion batteries last longer if they are kept out of both very low and very high states of charge. Because of the top-balancing requirement, it's not an option with these EUCs to not charge to the full 4.2V per cell.
What most people don't know is that the amount of capacity degradation is non-linear when comparatively cycling the batteries at different low states of charge or voltage cut-offs. In other words, more long term damage in the form of expedited capacity decay occurs to a greater degree by cycling the batteries repeatedly at lower depths of discharge (the lower you go, the worse it is) vs always charging to full.
Not saying that this second reason is a true consideration of the EUC manufacturers, but it is definitely a real phenomenon that is good to be aware of.
@@vanturion Thanks for this detailed response! Very informative
Hi guys.
I think you are the best placed to answer my question. Do you knows which wheels are the most sold? The inexpensive 84v 50kmh wheels like V8/10 or the most expensive high speed ones?
This to determine where is the actual consumer market.
In my opinion eucs are like electric scooters, the low end 40kmh market is the best selling , with the high speed ones being more of a niche market.
I think the same about eucs, but many of my speed demons friend here say the opposite,
Cheers
It’s not in the interest of neither resellers nor manufacturers to admit that the big wheels sell less than wheels under 26kg. The reason: big wheels are much more expensive so they earn more by selling less, also less warranty claims more money left for them. This hype for heavy wheels is artificially created by resellers and theirs CZcams collaborators/employees plus a few big guys who prefer heavier wheels. Let’s face it nobody needs daily to go >100km. You didn’t receive an answer from these guys, did you?
@@danmano478 indeed. I never received any response.
All this questioning started with some local riders arguing that "the time of small wheels is gone" and only big fast wheels will appear and thus people must accept fast heavy riders in the streets.
Ok.
But I argued that , maybe, most of the riders are riding medium sized and speed wheels.
So instead of arguing I wanted numbers..
@@legyroquoi
You won’t get any numbers from these guys or other resellers. As you can see in France, majority of riders have medium wheels, 20 - 28kg (Tesla v2, T3, RS, Nikola plus, 16X, 18L/XL, S18, V10F, V11), those with heavy wheels (Monster, Sherman) being a minority. Sherman has had good sales because of the solid build, reliability and need for more range. Also who wanted more speed and range took EXN (33kg - less weight than bigger wheels). The most sold now, I guess, are V12s, as they offer performance and waterproofing for less weight (~30kg) than the bigger wheels. In rest, there is a lot of talk about these new even more heavier wheels (V13, Abrams, EX20S, Master Pro), but few are going to buy them. Even in America, where are lots of long tours freaks, I think the majority of riders are commuters with medium wheels.
This trend, of heavier wheels, each year, is IMPOSED by manufacturers/resellers and not demanded by the majority of users.
The people don’t have to accept heavier wheels. Simply don’t buy them, despite propaganda, and let them lose money. We have the power to influence this market, just don’t be passive.
All this is a reality that doesn’t need numbers. Advocates of heavy wheels also don’t have numbers to sustain their point, still they are very aggressive. What’s next, the following year: A new contest between 70-80kg new wheels? Instead of coming with new, improved (batteries, waterproofing, screen, sturdiness, reliability) wheels in 20-30kg range. The Madness of Greed.
@@danmano478 I agree with you. I think the market is made for medium wheels. There's a lot of consumers that could be good potential buyers, and I think for the most of them will go with safe, not high speed wheels.
Mais anyway, le temps nous le dira!
@@legyroquoi
You said it all in just two lines.
what is the weight of the wheel?
67lbs
@@eevees thank you, think about NONEBOT ONE E+ long time ago, not speaking about IPS i5
I like it 🇨🇴
It doesn't look small at all when you guys are riding it. It's the huge wheels that look a bit awkward and bottom-heavy.
The battery back looks like it could hold velcro and a kick stand
Watch out, Marty - You’re next! 😂
Are Kate and Adam moving to Vancouver??
Kate is already in Vancouver. Adam is thinking about it.

Begode Master Pro now
man looks like a great wheel. Its an Rs with suspension

@@Rocksaplenty that's true can't imagine the torque with the 16inch wheel and c38
Lol the chooch dig 🤣

Yea my first main wheel was a Tesla V2 and I loved it but I wouldn't buy another 16" wheel without suspension. 18x3 are ok without suspension imo.
..and try and not be too starstruck when Mr.Wrong Way enters the building you guys.
Yeah looks like a complete well rounded wheel but I can't afford the price tag...
i would like to get one to promote i feel i would get a lot of people in my community who do i get in contact with to be a sponser
my only concern is Bradley's and Mono's comment of it being less stable above 50.....
Hoping it’s fixed with a firmware update as it seems to be caused from motor vibrations/shaking. The initial firmware update helped a ton but I think it still needs to be fine-tuned by Begode .
Does Canada have a special immigration plan for EUC CZcamsrs?
If it was waterproof it would be a perfect everyday commuter.
Haha it seems that way, eh? 😂
You talking about how you feel about a product is great but could you throw the specs in or am i asking too much? Ive yet to see a reviewer with the stats on screen
There's a link in the description with all the specs. We also talked about the specs in our previous video. Anyway, you can view them here: eevees.com/collections/eucs-electric-unicycles-vancouver/products/begode-tesla-t4
@@eevees I can't wait for your official range test of the T4, no one seems to have done it yet, you will be the first 👍👍
I have the T3 and I can't justify spending an extra $1400 for what I consider to be marginal upgrades. Yes, suspension rocks, but only 300wh upgrade to the battery is abysmal. They could have done better.
That wasn't a wobble, it shook forward and backward really fast.
Yeah, it was mechanical
Go Metric all the way. Be a leader.
We have to be inclusive to our American friends. Plus Canadians are weird and use a bit of both. I never say my height or weight in metric, for example.
Nice review. I hope that putting a great company and great CZcamsrs together will benefit both here. Honestly I think you started off on the wroooooong foot.

Sexy wheel, definitely lil small for me it just looks so tiny, looks like it would be overpowered too much? But for a 16” I dig it man , great review! Much love guys! Keep rocking on!
I do wonder why the never ending promotion of Begode products, as you well know the wheels come out of the factory generally broken &/or defective.
