Thank you so much for getting this review out and posting the message from CWM. I used Powersheets this year and I can’t say enough about how much it helped me and my family. I am a mom of 3, two of whom have severe autism. At the beginning of this year I was severely burnt out and I am in a much healthier place now with many changes I made to my planning, journaling and other routines. My kids are thriving with new resources, schools, tutoring, therapies, routines, family activities. I went from never reading to reading 6 books so far this year, including one gifted to me 24 years ago I moved with me from city to city but never found time to read 😂. I lost 20 pounds so far by finally committing and sticking to healthy eating habits after years of trying. I got a new job and am wrapping up my caseload as a trial lawyer to finally move into another position with less travel and better work/life balance. And we are building a new house and decluttering and getting our current home ready to sell. Little by little truly adds up and I am so excited to dig into the prep work again, set goals and live them out in 2023.

Oh, yay! This makes me very happy! Walking is like therapy for me;) Being in nature and movement helps me with everything:) And walking lowers your cortisol levels (stress hormone).
i hate that it’s thinner. i loved the thorough prep work from years before and i think that this was so key to what set it apart from other goal planners (their competitors) that didn’t dive in as deep. that being said, i feel the cost should also reflect these changes. i’ve bought them for 4 straight years and they keep cutting costs in the product but not the price. and if they’re going to cut down the prep work, at least make the actual product more luxurious. you can’t just cut everywhere! :(

Me too-I feel like after the 2020 planner, they really started streamlining the prepwork a little bit each year and it's just not the same. I agree-the thorough prep work was THE reason I got so much out of this planner. I've been using it since the 2018 one, and the prepwork from 2018-2020 was the bomb. Ever since the 2021 edition, it just doesn't work for me anymore-it's too shallow now.
Been waiting for this ALL DAY! Going to just be upfront and say...I really miss the bright blooms throughout the planner. Keeping an open mind, and excited for your thorough review!
I understand 100%! I think may people might miss the color...I thought I would...but I share all that in the video;) It really is just personal preference and the what stage of life we are in for what we crave/need at the time.

I think it was very smart to have made the small changes to save on the rising cost of goods and services and keep the price the same. A higher price would have been a tougher pill to swallow, I suspect, for many people.
I have to agree about the color scheme. The neutrals have a calming vibe and there’s still plenty of color. I appreciate your comparisons from last years version. I love when a company makes intentional improvements to their product. I even noticed that the cover was bigger compared to the paper in last years version. I also appreciated your comment that your favorite is the tending list but I think mine would be the prep work. I love your reviews. I have been looking forward to your review. Thank you, Amanda! I have been weighing whether or not to shake things up and try ML this year and I have to admit, the changes CWM has made has made that an easier choice. I loved the color and joyfulness of the previous design. My life is very centered around my work, so having a personal goals book that was not sober and efficiency oriented made it fun to pick up. I know I can still use the stickers, but it's not the same. Thank you, Amanda, for letting us know what has changed. It's so helpful for our decision making!

I'm glad you mentioned that. I always felt too anxious, when looking at it, couldn't figure it out what it was. I ended up not using it the whole year. I used the first two months.

What a great review, Amanda! I am actually really excited about some of the changes that they made this year. As you were going through the PowerSheets, I found myself wanting to sit down with them and start using them. That's a good sign! I thought I would really miss all of the color, but as you said, the more I look at them, the more I like the calm feel to them this year. I also noticed that they changed their cultivated life categories this year. Except for one area, they align perfectly with the MakseLife categories. I'm actually really happy about that, because it will make it easier to use both systems together, which I plan to do. Thank you for all of your hard work on this video for us! ❤

This is my second year of PS and I'll be honest, I'll miss the extra pages, somehow the tabbed pages gave it an extra premium feel...lol. Nonetheless I'm still going to purchase this year, I'm in love with bluebird but papaya seems to be calling to me. Thank you for this in-depth review, Amanda! I have always wanted to use Powersheets but have stopped myself from buying one because I thought my goals weren't good enough. I am buying one for myself for the first time this year and I am so excited! I do hope that next year they make the tabs colourful, at least in the floral covers like Trellis -- similar to the Simplified Daily Planner tabs (which is the planner I use).
You are worth it and so are your goals! I should have addressed that in the video-because that is an issue I have heard from others and have talked about it in past years. We can just have little normal everyday goals and this planner really does help you stay positive and stay on track and accountable. And it helps you celebrate your wins which is the most important IMO. Enjoy your first Powersheets! And I think they need a colorful and neutral version for net year:) Good option to just makes the tabs colorful though;)

I dunno.. I think I'm gonna miss those tabbed pages, I used them for so many things. I wonder if it's also because I don't use that monthly page.. I'm also scared of the small coil because mine get SO bulked up. I had the neutral PS last year and the dividers were nice and calm.. Ahh, so true, some of us struggle with change. Last year that Season page was 2 pages... I always worry when writing space is reduced as I'm not a "tiny writer" hehe I do love that new long progress bar! That will be fun to track and see how you tackled things over the course of a year. I'm excited they put the flags in the sticker book back to going in both directions! I really missed that when they moved them to only one direction. I'm SUPER curious about the planner stickers, I plan to snag those tomorrow too..
You made some really good points! About the coil not being big enough if you add a lot and you are right- people could choose the neutral last year if they wanted that. Thanks for the excellent reviews. Super bummed about the change in ownership and values with Cultivate What Matters. I used Powersheets for one year and found the prepwork helpful, but I simply do the same steps once in a while to rethink my goals. The tending lists were useful, but I was always annoyed that the tending list felt so cramped. Since I have the one planner, I reuse the template in my regular planner. It's easier to integrate that things that way (more along the lines of MakesLife, though I use. Hobonichi personally).
I always love your reviews best Amanda! I’ve heard a few people see the thinner aspect of the planner as a huge negative - but the way you explained it makes sense to me. As for me, I’ll be using my 2022 PS because I never actually got going with them last year (we were hit hard with illness and took mo this to recover). I’m halfway pre-planning them and they’re still what is relevant! But I might have to purchase the bluebell pencil pouch (that color is gorgeous!). I’ll definitely be going back to check out your goal planning videos because the tending sheet has be a bit boggled right now.
I love that you are using your 2022 set Katie;) I love that they can be used another year since they aren't dated (the monthly of course is- but many don't use that page). Enjoy 2023 in them...and don't let the Tending list stress you;)

Thank you so much for this video! I have always been intimidated by power sheets until this video, as well as I was highly encouraged by a previous post about being a Mom to special needs children. It can feel more reactive than proactive. I ordered the ultimate bundle (with your link!) and it appears to have a lot of helpful extras (all the quick start guides); however I am curious about the premium goal school membership? Any thoughts on what it offers? I see it is on sale today only for $99. Also any thoughts on getting started now vs waiting until Jan.? Start with a 90 power sheets book? I don't want to wait!!! Hi Jamie:) I am so happy that you aren't feeling intimidated by PS anymore! Good for you- they can help anyone in any stage and are really not complicated and don't take too much time...the time you put in will be on the goals and habits or routines you choose to focus on. I haven't seen a quick start guide myself so I am not sure about those. But you can start now with the 90 day powersheets for sure...or if you didn't buy those yet youcould just start in on the prep work in your 2023 powersheets now and just kind of draw out or copy the tending list and just have that one monthly page each month until January. Once you get them in your hands I think you will have a better idea of how you want to move forward to start now. Goal School- you get a free membership to their basic goal school content and videos with your purchase. You will be getting an email to be able to get into that. The Premium Goal school offers more personal attention...I think Zooms monthly or maybe weekly and some other items too. I think they have a comparison of what you get with each somewhere on their website or blog. I would ask in an email or DM on Instagram to have them give you that information. I have never had Premium Goal school so I am not sure what extra is there. But you will get a lot of guidance in the normal Goal School...so it just depends on how much you want to jump in with:) Have fun your first year in!
I don’t mind that they are thinner, easier to store coz I don’t like throwing them away when I’m done. I actually miss the pre2020 version when they were much smaller

It seems like it might be similar to PowerSheets in that it's goal focused? But I'm curious whether the two might work well together or be overkill with similar prompts/topics.
Amanda, love that you share your experience and trails with planners. Do you have a set of planners that you like for their paper quality? I am looking for a quality paper planner. I look towards to your recommendation!
These powersheets have wonderfu 80# paper. Any planner with 80# (120gsm) paper is about the best you can get. I do love paper with a little "tooth" texture to it...Erin Condren has that as well as Golden Coil. But so many companies have 120gsm/80# paper now days and that paper is nice and thick!
I really will miss all the color inside and on the tabs. The blah colors make it feel more like work and less fun. But still no other goal planner compares.
That is an interesting point which I hadn't thought of-about all work and no fun. I truly think they need a colorful and a neutral version next year;) I agree...there is not other goal planner that is comparable with the same system and a beautiful book.
I’m extremely disappointed. I found Powersheets through your channel and fell in love!! Have been using them for years! I feel cheated with the buyout. I just screams “Bible study” to me without all the talk of faith, etc. The fonts are a dead ringer for my Bible study books. And don’t get me wrong, I love a good Bible study book, but this is NOT the place for it. it’s just not the same and I’m extremely disappointed. I miss the colors, the “fill in the blanks,” etc. It’s lacking heart. Thanks for your review Amanda. I’m sad that I might pass this year on powersheets 😢

If this is you when you're not fully prepared, then that's very impressive and the other planner channels should take a page out of your book. If I like a product I use it regardless of who owns it. Companies are sold all the time, but to have people tell you what you need to address or not, to buy or not is childish. Between the economy, increase in crime, or illnesses, whatever trials we're going through entitled people need to focus on their home and work. Lol the planner community has its controversies, but if you don't engage it eventually goes away.

I am misunderstanding something. I think you said in this video there was 50 pages of prep work instead of 54 last year, but when I compare that to the 90 day planner, the numbers in your video/on their blog were more like 19 in the annual versus 15 in the quarterly. I'd love some thoughts on what I might be confusing! Thank you!
This is a very good question. It is indeed 50 pages if you count front and back of each sheet for the prep work section in the 2023 Powersheets. I just took the numbers for the my 90day Powersheets video off their website. If you are counting from and back of the 90day Powersheets Prep work it is 43 pages. Their numbers don't make sense even if they are just counting pages and not front and back. that is very confusing! But the 50 pages vs 43 are the exact numbers counting front and back of the pages in the books I have in front of me. I hope that helps!

I always love your reviews best Amanda! I’ve heard a few people see the thinner aspect of the planner as a huge negative - but the way you explained it makes sense to me. As for me, I’ll be using my 2022 PS because I never actually got going with them last year (we were hit hard with illness and took mo this to recover). I’m halfway pre-planning them and they’re still what is relevant! But I might have to purchase the bluebell pencil pouch (that color is gorgeous!). I’ll definitely be going back to check out your goal planning videos because the tending sheet has be a bit boggled right now.
I love that you are using your 2022 set Katie;) I love that they can be used another year since they aren't dated (the monthly of course is- but many don't use that page). Enjoy 2023 in them...and don't let the Tending list stress you;)

Thank you so much for this video! I have always been intimidated by power sheets until this video, as well as I was highly encouraged by a previous post about being a Mom to special needs children. It can feel more reactive than proactive.
I ordered the ultimate bundle (with your link!) and it appears to have a lot of helpful extras (all the quick start guides); however I am curious about the premium goal school membership? Any thoughts on what it offers? I see it is on sale today only for $99. Also any thoughts on getting started now vs waiting until Jan.? Start with a 90 power sheets book? I don't want to wait!!! Ready to do this! 😁❤️
Hi Jamie:) I am so happy that you aren't feeling intimidated by PS anymore! Good for you- they can help anyone in any stage and are really not complicated and don't take too much time...the time you put in will be on the goals and habits or routines you choose to focus on. I haven't seen a quick start guide myself so I am not sure about those. But you can start now with the 90 day powersheets for sure...or if you didn't buy those yet youcould just start in on the prep work in your 2023 powersheets now and just kind of draw out or copy the tending list and just have that one monthly page each month until January. Once you get them in your hands I think you will have a better idea of how you want to move forward to start now. Goal School- you get a free membership to their basic goal school content and videos with your purchase. You will be getting an email to be able to get into that. The Premium Goal school offers more personal attention...I think Zooms monthly or maybe weekly and some other items too. I think they have a comparison of what you get with each somewhere on their website or blog. I would ask in an email or DM on Instagram to have them give you that information. I have never had Premium Goal school so I am not sure what extra is there. But you will get a lot of guidance in the normal Goal School...so it just depends on how much you want to jump in with:) Have fun your first year in!
I don’t mind that they are thinner, easier to store coz I don’t like throwing them away when I’m done. I actually miss the pre2020 version when they were much smaller

Hi! Not sure if you're looking for more planners to review, but I'd love to know what you think of the Hustle Sanely "Peacefully Productive Planner"! It seems like it might be similar to PowerSheets in that it's goal focused? But I'm curious whether the two might work well together or be overkill with similar prompts/topics.

Amanda, love that you share your experience and trails with planners. Do you have a set of planners that you like for their paper quality? I am looking for a quality paper planner. I look towards to your recommendation!
These powersheets have wonderfu 80# paper. Any planner with 80# (120gsm) paper is about the best you can get. I do love paper with a little "tooth" texture to it...Erin Condren has that as well as Golden Coil. But so many companies have 120gsm/80# paper now days and that paper is nice and thick!

I really will miss all the color inside and on the tabs. The blah colors make it feel more like work and less fun. But still no other goal planner compares.
That is an interesting point which I hadn't thought of-about all work and no fun. I truly think they need a colorful and a neutral version next year;) I agree...there is not other goal planner that is comparable with the same system and a beautiful book.

I’m extremely disappointed. I found Powersheets through your channel and fell in love!! Have been using them for years! I feel cheated with the buyout. I just screams “Bible study” to me without all the talk of faith, etc. The fonts are a dead ringer for my Bible study books. And don’t get me wrong, I love a good Bible study book, but this is NOT the place for it. it’s just not the same and I’m extremely disappointed. I miss the colors, the “fill in the blanks,” etc. It’s lacking heart. Thanks for your review Amanda. I’m sad that I might pass this year on powersheets 😢

So Amanda, I watched your full review here but i then read some comments and found out that Laura Casey sold this business to Our Daily Grace. This is big news that I feel needs to be addressed by your channel. If Mrs Casey does not own the company I am not sure if it will be the same company. This is really sad! 🙁
Hi Jenny. I don't know why I would need to comment on that in this video. I am saying that because I don't work for the company. I only earn an affiliate commission if you click my link to get to their website when you purchase. I have no other connection with the company. And they certainly didn't tell me about the sale...lol. I heard about it through social media like anyone else. It was sold in June and they have said Cultivate plans to keep Powersheets much the same. I do have a statement about it in the description. On a personal note I am happy for Lara Casey....what a joyful thing to be able to sell your company to stay home with your 3 young children:)
@@AmandasFavorites lol, this is why I don't have a CZcams channel. Your channel is great. If this is you when you're not fully prepared, then that's very impressive and the other planner channels should take a page out of your book. If I like a product I use it regardless of who owns it. Companies are sold all the time, but to have people tell you what you need to address or not, to buy or not is childish. Between the economy, increase in crime, or illnesses, whatever trials we're going through entitled people need to focus on their home and work. Lol the planner community has its controversies, but if you don't engage it eventually goes away.

I am misunderstanding something. I think you said in this video there was 50 pages of prep work instead of 54 last year, but when I compare that to the 90 day planner, the numbers in your video/on their blog were more like 19 in the annual versus 15 in the quarterly. I'd love some thoughts on what I might be confusing! Thank you!
This is a very good question. It is indeed 50 pages if you count front and back of each sheet for the prep work section in the 2023 Powersheets. I just took the numbers for the my 90day Powersheets video off their website. If you are counting from and back of the 90day Powersheets Prep work it is 43 pages. Their numbers don't make sense even if they are just counting pages and not front and back. that is very confusing! But the 50 pages vs 43 are the exact numbers counting front and back of the pages in the books I have in front of me. I hope that helps!
