DIY miniature Winter Diorama in a Walnut (decoration)

Winter is definitely here and everything so cozy inside. This little walnut project was really fun to do and it would make a nice tree decoration or a sweet handmade Christmas gift.

What material did you use to make the trees? It looks like embroidery thread but I've never seen any come in that width. Love your project & I want to try it! :)

I do think its embroidery thread, I found it my nan's sewing things so its rather old

Looks so nice. How do you open without breaking the shell. I only have 3 walnuts

I use a knife and push it in to split it, I found that was the easiest way to do it, good luck!
