I'm here again on Mar. 26, 2023, one month after his gigantic solo ice show, GIFT. He's turned pro and continues making history in figure skating world.
One of my favorites Hanyu Yuzuru program. He burst into the scene like a meteor! It is an unforgettable performance. I have been watching figure skating since the 80's and never been blown away like this!

Tonight (feb6,2022,) i came here to rewatch This Yuzu from 10yes ago 😭 this never gets old. And 2 days from now he will be challenging 4A in 2022 Olympics, his 3rd olympic aiming for 3rd Gold medal😭😭😭 im crying he has come so far he is incredible,
This 17-year old Yuzuru is so phenomenal! The choreo, artistry, so top-notch! I hope every new generation of fig skating has this kind of performance. Having great jumps is awesome, but jumps themselves only bring death to the sports.

I have hardly ever cried watching figure skating... not even when Kim Yuna won the 2010 Olympics. This has been the first performance that I have started crying watching. He's not only talented technically, but he is one with the music. He really brought his emotions into the program, and that, to me, is much more important than anything Patrick Chan can do, despite winning.
from his head to the tips of his fingers to his toes, every part of him just seemed to be so in sync with the music, greatest skate I have ever watched
I could not agree with you more!!!! The most talented skater I've ever seen! Just supreme God given talent and charisma beyond words for a 17 year old. In 40 years, I've never cried during a performance until this one by the Sensational Yuzuru Hanyu! Those who saw it live witnessed a special moment in the sport of Figureskating!

Whenever I read a comment about how 'none of the champions' had developed much artistic expression for the sport by the tender age of 17....that we must 'wait for that quality to develop' in younger skaters who are technically great but artistically bland....I simply point them at this video. Yuzuru's grace and musicality is phenomenal - even at 17 when he still had so much more to learn. But you can't 'learn' depth of feeling. Either you own it or you don't. Yuzuru owns it.
And this is only his first Worlds in the Senior Debut, I cannot express what I feel when I see this program... Thumbs up if you're already thinking of him for Sochi 2014!
i feel very lucky to be able to see this performance. i felt he rose from the fall not for himself, but for the people who suffered (which included himself) on the 3.11.11 quake of japan and whom he wants to give his messages of hope. later yuzuru said he thought he was giving them strength, but he was wrong, he said. they are the ones who gave him strength. what a divine talent!!!!

Hi i'm italian, so i can traslate for you, they basically said that Yuzuru is in incredbile and amazing talent, that they were really amazed of what he did in his free program, and that they really liked him....And they were moved by his tears, as we were saturday afternoon after his fantastic performance...i was there in the arena and i can't describe what i felt during his performance. Yuzuru really captured and touched my heart!! Thank you Yuzuru!!!

He was amazing, is amazing, and always be amazing. How can you not root for this kid? In hindsight, it may have been a good idea to watch more skating videos in my free time while I was still competing. I may have thought of the time that I shouldn't spend so much time watching the videos when I should be training to do what the elites can do, but seeing all of these videos that I missed out on while training, it would have been really good inspiration and may have resulted in me sticking with the sport I love...alas, that time has passed, but I look back on it fondly. Once again, Yuzuru Hanyu...he is an inspiration for sure.

What is so appealing in and special about this program, aside from the Hanyu Yuzuru and his Romeo, is the sound of the skate blades etching the ice the music in the background. In the slower part/choreo with the softer music the etching sound can be heard clearly.
He won it the Sochi 2014. Also, got injured 3 months before Pyeongchang 2018 but he also won it. He was plagued with injuries, collision, surgeries, and rehab but at the age of 26 Years Old, he is still competing and winning Gold after Gold.

I think he is a very sweet guy and that his expressive and technical capabilities will grow again. He really has something in it that allows him to "feel" the beauty. The theme of Romeo and Juliet suits him perfectly. Yuzuru ... Italy loves you so much :) Sorry for my horrible English ...

羽生選手の可愛くも迫力のある演技でのロミオトジュリエトジュリエ最高です。
今でもこのプログラムが一番好き。ディカプリオのロミオとまんま重なる。カメラワークも最高で、みなさんおっしゃるとおり一編の名画となっている。ななみコーチもお美しい。（当時はプーさんは彼女のお気に入りかと思っていた。）

He won it the Sochi 2014. Also, got injured 3 months before Pyeongchang 2018 but he also won it. He was plagued with injuries, collision, surgeries, and rehab but at the age of 26 Years Old, he is still competing and winning Gold after Gold.

ソチオリンピックからのフィギュア＆羽生ファンです。その後一気に羽生さんのこれまでの動画をいろいろ見ましたが、この’12年の世界選手権でのロミオの演技が大好きです。振り付けとコスチュームも大好き。特に最後のステップは大変感動。又この振り付けのロミオを、今の羽生さんで是非見てみたい。
+ai ka 同感です。このプログラムは、編曲（いきなり大サビ！）と構成、衣裳、当時の「17歳」という年齢など、すべてが完璧に噛み合っていた奇跡的作品だと思います。2014年の世界選手権のエキシビでやってくれましたが、万感胸に迫るものがありました。
