Walken always inspected guns for safety reasons prior to scenes with them, no live rounds etc. Penn swapped it with a fully loaded gun. It testified everyone on set. Most of all Walken. Kinda nuts, kinda awesome.

the son didn't want no part of it he wanted out of the gang had he told the father sooner and made a life with his girl and that's what pushed him over the edge the father was like if you back out of this deal now you won't have anything if you want something better I can get it for you, and the son said no I'm good. which made the father mad🤦
