My youngest son is now driving! Of course, the easiest car on the planet to learn how to drive is an older Honda, especially the 1990 four door! We are not going to do anything too crazy until he gets a better car. Right now, he is just starting out. Every MAN needs his first system... A few days ago, we got a new amp. I was so impressed by the amount of power it puts out, i decided in the spirit of keeping it budget, i will run the entire system off of just this one amp! Bench testing went good so on to the next stage, wiring it all up! Thanks for watching!

IDK why people would make it a big deal that he has an older car. Most people I know who got nice cars right off the bat ended up wrecking them. Why go through all the hassle of buying him a really nice car when most teens end up getting in an accident. I think the Honda is a great car personally and will probably last for awhile

I think it is awesome that you provided a car for your child. I also think it is awesome how you had him do a lot of work in this build.
Honestly Father to Father much respect!
You drive an expensive car because you have earned it. No doubt you children will learn how to have nice things from knowing how to earn them from their upbringing!
    Much respect!

Steve, you don't have to answer to anyone about what vehicle your kids drive. I actually respect you more for keeping the beater around for the kids to learn in. They will learn more about value by learning in that and EARNING better cars. Seriously, nobody bought me my first car. I paid for it myself. I'm sure they feel extremely happy to just be able to have something to drive. At that age, they don't really care what it is as long as it gets them from point A to B. Keep it up my man, your videos inspire so many to do great things. There's not a conversation I have with anyone who's in to car audio where your name isn't mentioned by someone. You're a true legend in the industry.

Steve, I can’t believe you felt the need to respond to to idiots that wouldn’t know how to parent if their life depended on it. The instant gratification world we live in is ridiculous and backwards. You worked your ass off for what you have. No one should tell you how to parent your own kids. Who the hell do they think they are? This is a great thing your doing. Being a dad and spending time with your kids and showing them a thing or two. Have we completely veered off the road as a society that we can see the big picture here? We need more dads like you! I love the series that show you interacting with your boys. Keep up the good work!

@meade916 you dont have to explain yourself to anyone about why you have that car or why your son doesnt have what you have. I didnt even think about the type of car you were poutting the system in... i seen father son project working together on your sons vehicle.. i believe its a good thing to earn what you want in life instead of it being handed to you at every turn, just because your dad or some family member has the resources, doesnt mean you are by default entitled to it as well... just my 2 cents, not that it matters lol. good video and keep up the awesome content.

Some kids believe they are entitled to a new car just because. Starting your son out in a little beater, will make him understand how you dont start out on top. Full support in this decision here. My first car was a 77 Ford .my dad bought the month before I was born. I still have it, and it's still running and my son is learning to drive in it now.

Beater cars are the best! You get come dings in the car park, who cares, you curb the wheels, who cares, something major fails, eh it wasnt that expensive to begin with. That doesnt mean that you will just destroy the car, but in the event of something like that happening it doesnt cost a fortune to fix.

Fuc the haters Steve! I've been down since day one. I'm teaching my son the same things about car audio and life. You are the G.O.A.T. of car audio and have given me inspiration through the years 🔥💪👍💯

  • @donDiegoEstebanMgLKenNDJohnson

There ain't a damn thing wrong with presenting your child(ren) a hand-me-down car as their starter vehicle, especially if you know factually the most accurate history of that specific automobile over the past several years.

Love your videos! You don’t have to explain yourself to ppl bro! The 1990 accord is still cool to me and a car is really just a tool to help us get around. If it runs good then drive it until it can’t drive anymore. That’s how you get your money worth out a vehicle.

first car should always be a 'bumper car' as it were. something cheap and easy to fix if and when the kids break it. that's just dad 101. these keyboard cowboys just don't know.

Bro....you have no reason to explain yourself to these fools. Just because you have money doesnt mean you have to spoil your kids. Make them earn it like you did. They will learn and appreciate it more.

  • @GabrialMacLeod

Man forget the haters. People gotta realize that in order to appreciate the nice things in life, you need to first learn to respect what you have. In time as you say, with hard work and saving up they can afford to get themselves the cars they want. It's a way more satisfying life lesson to earn something for oneself than it is to just be handed the keys to something fancy. Hell even you didn't start out with the fanciest shit, so props to you for being a kick ass dad.
