Great information music is too loud though.
I am a US Army 95B Military Police Vet.. Yes, old enough to be your dad. I was trained at Fort McClellan, Alabama by Rangers and Green Berets. Only other Drill SGT I had was an MP. But this not about "The standard". I would like to know about daily PT (physical training). We did the two minutes of pushups / sit-ups and a three to five mile run, followed by wind sprints. Yes, pull ups made it into the routine but they are nothing. My question is the "Flutter kicks". Does that nasty thing still exist? Because I have done so many that if I were wearing Scuba flippers. I could have swam across the Atlantic Ocean.
Yes those blasted flutter kicks are still there in both RASP and Ranger school. Not fun with boots on and I can’t imagine flippers. But Ranger school loves Y-squats way more for whatever reason.
There are lots of guys who enjoy a good hand release.
Haha
Hey man I’m curious is 40 miles a week combined with running and rucking not enough for rasp? I still have some time before I ship out for basic so I can definitely get that mileage up
That’s a good amount per week for sure! The main thing is being able to meet the standard. Some people need more miles some need less. I would time a 5 mile to see where you’re at, adjust from there but also listen to your body and don’t overdo it. You have time.
I can run 35 min 5 mile but I’m RUNNING. I’ll work on getting 35 min to a talking pace. Your videos are great btw
Thank you🙏
What should my times be for the run? I heard 5k in 35 is great. Also how heavy is the ruck usually?
35 or under for the 5 mile is a great time to shoot for! The 12 mile ruck’s weight standard is usually 35lbs dry.
5k is 3.2 miles iirc. The standard is 5 mi in 40 mins not 5 km
Have you heard any chatter about the regiment expanding out into the National Guard?
Sorry no I haven’t. If it ends up happening I’ll definitely feature that!
The music is louder than you, that’s a problem.
Sorry man, the audio came out bad for some reason on this video!
When In Rasp is the PT test taken?
You'll take a Pre-RASP test to class up usually the APFT and then you'll take the RFT throughout the first 4 weeks of RASP ending with the 12 mile ruck into Cole Range.
can i dm? i want to ask a question but don't want to opsec
My instagram is in the link for questions. But depending on if it requires opsec don’t get your hopes up as I might not be able to answer.
@@jstewthompson it's not REAL opsec questions, i'm just overly cautious
@@mingus445_gaming I gotcha!
What’s the source for this info?
Straight from regiment. I did just get out of the military so some buddies are still in.
@@jstewthompson thank you
