Just beat this guy on Apocalyptic last night with a friend. What a pain in my urethra. If it wasn't being knocked off the arena it was being overwhelmed by spam. Just a random difficulty spike in an otherwise fair challenge. I did find that Strife's giant laser wrath ability and War's blade gyser both keep you rooted while the tidal wave hits, so you won't get wiped off the side.
