When my friend* showed up with the new FMS Atlas from China, last summer, I was stoked to buy one too (yellow, and we were going to exchange cabs). But before the Atlas could hit local shelves, Axial read my mind and released the Base Camp Builders Kit I'd been dreaming of. Change of plans. Here the two vastly different trucks tackle gnarly conditions on a glorious winter day. The FJ clearly knows and respects the limitations of its asphalt-friendly rubber, while the Atlas can't wait to push its agricultural-style JConepts Fling King mudder tires to the max. And Maya the wonderful dog is a hoot. Cheers and thanks.

Thanks. Incredible day. Roman and I both work outside a lot, therefore have all the necessary hi-tech clothes to stay warm while moving about in the woods. We kept trailing until it was dark -- which is about 4pm this time of year!

Thanks 👍 Another wild incredible area close to home, set aside by the Ministry for natural preservation. No gates, no fees, no crowds. Everyone I meet on the trails is stoked. So lucky to have it. Sometimes the government does things right. Who knew? Btw, it's not shown in this video but Roman, Maya and I kept going to the creek (see link to video shot another day). Hope you're having a happy new year as well. We finally got some snow this past weekend -- about an inch which is just about right. And the temperature is steady around -3C or just below freezing, which is also just right for tiny trucks. Thanks for the comment and support. I will pass on your compliments to Maya. Good question! Maya just goes non-stop the entire time. She runs up and down crazy steep hills and through the creek. Thanks for the comment. I continue to enjoy your own channel.
