I've been looking for someone with a room like mine love to get on a discord call with ya some time
Great video. I guess this saves alot of editing time. Cause you could just throw it in an audio program raw and mix it. But the way you do it it goes straight in.
I think you got her dialed in pretty nicely there brother sounds pretty good on this side
I think so. Like I said I push the db’s for volume but you kind of have to do that.
On the flip side Brother, I got stuff to do ✌🍺😎
Dude! Some observations… Your gain is way too high. 76 is clearly too much (it's going well into the red). Sssss are not plosives. Plosives are the p and b sounds (bursts of air into the mic capsule). The reason your noise gate needs to be so intense is because your gain is so high.
Awesome advice let me play around with your suggestion. I’ll let ya know how it does
You were right. My threshold is almost zero now. Thanks for the tip
Yes all of the above
Yes all of what you said
Dude you have Phantom power ON, on your beautiful dynamic microphone. The sm7b doesn’t need any power. P48 needs to be off, can destroy the mic.
Good call all my xlr mic require phantom so I assumed
Why you saying it's your theory you have been doing this stuff since you're 20s right
Well music recording and podcast setup is different. But yeah I had a recording studio for a long time.
Noise gate is really pumping :(
I have made adjustments since this video... like less preamp etc. Believe it or not I have been analog forever so I am still kind of new to digital
@@outlaw-live Oh Man I know your pain I had a Neumann tlm 103 Yamaha mixer, dbx 286s, solo headphone amp, and all kinds of crap on my podcast in Idaho, the duo replace it all LOL, and a shure sm7b sounds like my 1400 dollar Neuman All the old gear was analog and was a bitch LOL
@@BrianMackey2010 yep I was so anti digital until I got the rodecaster pro 2. I told my buddy that this is worth thousands of dollars. Plus no 1/4 inch cables all over the place - just an xls and a usbc - GOLD!!!!
@@outlaw-live I was anti, I just didn't know any better LOL Hey if you ever need a guest on your show to banter about all this new cool well not so but def cool stuff, Im your guy LOL
