I have been using Iscar and Sandvik and other brands, we are considering to try Tungaloy milling tools.
Do you have experience with Tungaloy?
@@illleskalacsi3601 for me Tungaloy has been very successful. I have not tried their face mills but I am going to push to try a big facemill of this type. The HiFeed mills have been so good, in my experience out performed the more expensive Iscar feed mills and they have a very forgiving failure mode, AKA you can beat the shit out of the inserts. I'm using 8030 inserts if I remember correctly on the hifeedmills. Material is a cast variant of 15-5 and 13-8. I'm in the market for a free cutting positive facemill.
@illleskalacsi3601 Tungaloy is top of the line. Have used all channels of Machining. Tungaloy applications and sales reps are independent and they wouldn't operate this way if the tooling wasn't successful, you can expect from Tungaloy better tool life, and faster feeds at a expense of depth of cut, but not in a massive manner, your cutting speed and rate of removal will be higher and your setup will be more reliable.
